Airi if you don’t win this year you might as well go sit on the bench
with Ishikawa, Yoshizawa, and Fujimoto. Maybe Fujimoto will let
you sit on her lap.

Sayumi didn't make the finals last year either.

OK. Here's the plan. Everyone that didn't make the finals last year is OUT. That leaves the remaining two the very same two that were screwed out of their chance to win last year. A replay of last year minus Erina who was awarded last year's win.
