So what I can read from her website, she was born in 1985 to English/Japanese parents. Moved to Japan when she was 18. Started making music when she was 19. Some other stuff happened that I can't read, then she released her first independent mini album in June 2008. Since then, she has been signed to Sony, and released her first major label release in October 2008.

Anywayyy, she's getting pretty pimped out right now in Japan. PROMiSE is used as the CM song for au Smart Sports & there's quite a bit of advertising on TV & in store.
So yeah. I like her music Give it a listen!

I honestly don't like her music at all. So it must be the promotion then that is getting her popularity since "PROMiSE" is a cheesy un-catchy song. IMO

her first mini album has been number one on the japanese itunes album charts for a couple weeks now too.
