I don't know about any subbed versions online, but I haven't looked. It's the 2012.08.17 episode, if you want to look for it. I got it (unsubbed) from a local Japanese video rental place that has recent TV shows on DVD-Rs.

And yeah man the DOCUMENTARIES. ARE. SO. GREAT. I gained immense respect for these girls after watching them.

My theory for AKB's downfall is going to be a mass shit load of graduations from all of their sister and sub groups.

They'll either in the end, save a few girls, like the aces from the sister groups but they'll end up terminating a shit load of other girls apart of the undergirls and kenkyuusei. Which will in turn bomb their public image with so many girls leaving the group.

Imagine how bad this year has been with graduations multiplied by like 50, at a point where their popularity has decreased.

Im expecting a massive drop in sales when all of the 1st gen girls finally graduate.

Oh yeah, losing all the 1st gen girls will be one hell of a blow for sure, especially since if you don't count Miichan there is basically only 3 of them left... but then, I don't know. 2nd and 3rd gen girls have been around for a loooooooong time too. Yuko, Mayuyu and Yukirin, which were the top 3 last year, are not 1st gen. Sasshi is even more of a kouhai..

But their sales *are* slowly declining.. but it's a slow process, I think. Also, their sister groups sell a lot more now than they used to be. Sure, "So long" didn't even sell 1.2 millions, compared to "Manatsu no Sounds Good"'s 1.8 million, but NMB48's 4th single sold 400k, versus its first single's 200k, and AKB48's first single's like.. 50k.. and

well basically even if AKB48's sales are declining, all of the sister groups sales are increasing, just as are Nogizaka's, so I really feel as though for now, they are okay..

I think the challenge for them is to ensure that the fans can easily "move on" to the other girls when the famous ones are gone. A group always faces a decrease in sales and/or popularity whenever the big names leave and when a management does not prepare for that eventuality, there's bound to be an effect.

With the large number of girls, I think it's almost impossible to not get a new favorite after one leaves unless the fan is pretty hung-up with his oshi. Even a non-AKB fan like me can point one or two girls that caught my attention after Atsuko Maeda left (unfortunately I don't know their names). The difference, of course is that the new girls aren't like the first three or four generations, but with the kind of media machinery they have, it's only a matter of time.

I kinda wish he did more work with MM, but he didnt make much of an impact on KonKon and Makoto and just turned them into stable singers which might be a good thing for MM right now.

lol Using AKB to get the song out there, how tacky Robin Thicke. It's like when the Pussycat Dolls would have 348579847573 collaborations on their albums with bigger artists because they couldn't stay afloat themselves lol.

Sad that this song will probably become an earworm in Japan as well now, and that Robin Thicke will continue to profit from this horrible song.
