I got stimulated as well. However, the money was only a fraction of the money I am losing as a rental home owner. The sad thing is that landlords have been given an unfunded mandate in my state to house people "rent optional" while still paying the bills. While I can take solace in the fact that an enormous amount of small businesses have been bankrupted by Covid-19, it still seems short sighted to stimulate some businesses and make other business pay.

I went to Walmart for the first time in almost 3 months! That was an experience. I used to get some satisfaction out of walking around in there; this time I just couldn't wait to get out. They're blaring music between both entrances outside so it felt more like a dystopian hellscape.

Also had some blood drawn today! Shout-out to the phlebotomist that kept calling me "honey". :')
Routine stuff, but I never look forward to it! I'm hoping my hemoglobin is alright, mostly. My vitamin D will inevitably be low since I hate the sun.

I went out and started my car for the first time in two months - it actually did start! (Not that I'm about to take it anywhere except around the block a few times to charge the battery - and for that matter, I'll probably just order a battery charger online. )

^ Funny you should mention that. Last Friday I read in the paper that AAA was not having many service road calls due to people not driving. The most calls that they were getting were for battery jumps. So what happens? When I leave the house to do some errands, my car won’t start. I had been noticing my starts didn’t have the ummph as normal. But I have my trusty JUNO JUMPER which has never failed me. But the battery became so weak that the windows wouldn’t even work. Not even the JUNO JUMPERr was any help. Since I needed maintenance anyway, I made an appointment with my mechanic for today (Tuesday). Even though I have AAA, I got the car there this morning by charging the battery for two hours (8 hrs is required for a full charge) and using the JUNO JUMPER again which started the car.

Funny thing the battery was going in my mothers car too. I’ve been working through this whole ordeal and have been using her car since I currently don’t have one of my own. My car told me it was due for a 30,000 mile maintenance check. So I call Mitsubishi where she got her car to set up an appointment. Turns out they closed and didn’t tell anyone. Closest Mitsubishi dealer is now an hour away. So classy. I hated the place where my Mother got her car, they saw her coming and then screwed her over. She’s so upside down on her car payment. Owes more than what the car is worth. It’s sickening what they did to her. But anyway, glad they are gone. Such a trashy company.

So yeah, her battery was going so we got a new one. After talking to a co worker they were like, you know they are just trying to sell you something you really didn’t need.

And I’m like, damnit not again!

^ Car batteries have a life span of 5 years max usually between 3 and 5 years. Mine was two years old. I was more concerned about it because I have had battery problems in the past before the corona virus.
