I've seen all of them except for the latest and last, The Wind Rises.

And I just realized that their order of release almost exactly matches how I'd rank them. The Castle of Cagliostro was good but not great, which is understandable since it was his first and he was just following the TV series. Then came his sophomore masterpiece, Nausicaä, which was based on his own epic manga. But it's been a steady decline ever since. Sure, everything was still great through Princess Mononoke, just less great with each successive one.

Things really started to drop off with Spirited Away

Honestly, I've never been too keen on Ghibli stuff (Miyazaki and non-Miyazaki). The artwork is great, sure, but I've always felt like they've been lacking something. Maybe an interesting story, I dunno.

They're not bad movies, per se, I just don't enjoy them too much. At least not the ones I've seen (Ponyo, Spirited Away, Arrietty, Kiki's Delivery Service, Grave of the Fireflies). I do plan on watching the others eventually, though. I feel like I should see them as an anime fan.

I have seen many of Hayao Miyazaki films. I can't say that I like any of them. To me, they're just there.

Total war : Rome 2 unlocks today :yahoo:

Probably would count as attempted murder on my laptop but let's hope for the best :fear:

I love Miyazaki's films, but Howl's Moving Castle was a bit messy, and then everything after (apart from his latest film, which I have yet to see) has been much less than spectacular. Laputa, Totoro, Kiki, Spirited, Mononoke are my top five.

I love Shingeki no Kyojin.

Plot twists are always fun.

It's so great. My friends on Twitter pressured me into watching it, and I'm glad they did.

I'm gonna start reading the manga after the anime finishes airing in a few weeks.

Also. Levi  .

I'm gonna do right the same thing.
The anime is now hilarious, don't want to overdo things if I get to read the manga at the same time too. (And I normally read much more than watch)

And Shingeki no Kyoin has reached a point where is not much about being good or fun or whatever the adjective is. It's just that there are many factors to take in count so some deeper reflexions are needed thus.
