Thats true. Its tough on the schedule. Up Up Girls' Sekki commutes from Nagano to Tokyo. Sometimes she will be absent from their promotional events. But she always makes it to the major events. Sometimes for those promotion they shoot on video, Sekki will have hers done separately.

Also, I agree about Ayumi and pigtails. She's one of those girls that it just works really well on her. It doesn't work as well for other girls... For instance Eripon. Love the girl but I'm just not a fan of the pigtail look on her.

^ I read about it on 2ch a few months ago. It might have been a rumor. They said she was living in a dorm in Tokyo until her family moved from Aichi to Tokyo permanently.

I thought that she was commuting from Aichi to Tokyo. Maybe her and her family recently moved there so the travel doesn't take as much out of her or something.

I read a blog where she said she was marvelling at the snow in Aichi when walking to school so I would be 89% sure she is communing from Aichi at UFA's expense.

No, that's not what she meant. She meant that it didn't snow very often in Aichi while she was growing up there, so she's not accustomed to it, and seeing it snow in Tokyo (where it still doesn't snow very often, but at least it's more often than in Aichi) is still a novelty for her.

In that same post she later says "Right after I joined Morning Musume and transferred schools" and talks about how she didn't know how to dress for the weather in Tokyo.
