If H!P does do a KPOP group without Korean members, then I think they should to a KPOP boy group without Koreans or boys. It could be something similar to Dance Club, and have ikemen like Kaga Kaede, Sasaki Rikako, Hirai Miyo, and Kishimoto Yumeno for members.

So I'm not sure how the Youtube algorithm decided to recommend this channel to me because besides first degree videos (e.g. MV, concert footage, variety appearances) i don't engage in Wota Culture videos but I've been watching the trio lately-

Midnight Bouzu
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmW4jT ... v_FvXgrvuw

And I just find them so entertaining. In addition to the massive variety of perspectives they engage in H!P from (they go from the standard MV reaction videos, to playing HP-inspired mini games, to coming up with new verses for Joshi Kashi Mashi) they just have chemistry as friends/as a trio.

Anyway, I brought them up because they attended the 15ki anniversary event and did a report back video- in it one of the trio mentions that Yamazaki just comes across as... An airheaded, and a rather big one at that, and that makes me rethink my stance on Mei.

I honestly was under the impression that Yamazaki was playing up the dumb but cute girl trope because she is admittedly very cute (a bit of a take on Sayu being a narcissist because Sayu has always been cute) but now this makes me think maybe the girl is just... In a nice way the gears aren't turning as fast for her as they do for like, Sayu.

I like this version/perspective of Yamazaki better already. I might even call her Mei-chan in my next post about her.

Lol.

--
Super off-topic but I did bring her up above but, daaaaaamn Sayu's modeling stuff lately is gorgeous, chic, fiiiiire.

Sayu might have the greatest post-idol glow up ever. Which is not fair because she already had like three glow ups during MM.

This year, The University of Tokyo is hosting their annual November cultural festival and stage performances were online.

Tokyo University Hello Pro Research Club '20 students had their annual Hello Pro dance stage performance online. Neighboring Hello Pro clubs at other universities in Tokyo couldn't join them this year for obvious reasons, so they are smaller this year.

Held again this year! Hello Pro Dance Stage!
Let's have a great time together Hello wota!
Enjoy!

A group of students from the University of Tokyo who love Hello! Project.
It was established in 2013 as a place to exchange information and have a core talk about Hello Pro.
Main activities include dancing, Hello Pro karaoke, DVD viewing, and socializing at live shows and events.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but for anyone that might want to contribute:

The yearly H!P fan vote is up and ready, this time a collab by several people that usually run votes on different platforms (H!O, Facebook, Twitter).

I’m surprised they opted not to add a song of the year or MV of the year category but added a performance of the year question.

Might just be that there haven't been very many new songs this year, but with the solo and ballad concerts there have been a ~ton~ of new performances.

BEYOOOOONDS Yamazaki Yuhane has been chosen to play the role of Matsuura Aya in the film.

After failing his graduate school entrance exams, Tsurugi has been living in a hellish band, with no money and no girlfriend, but one day he sees a music video by Matsuura Aya and is hooked on idols. One day, she sees an idol music video by Matsuura Aya and is hooked.

Yamazaki plays Matsuura Aya, the idol who got the main character Tsurugi hooked on Hello! When the information about the film adaptation was released, there was a lot of talk about who would play the role of Aya among the fans of Hello Pro, and there was a guessing match.

Yamazaki, who was cast in this important role, said about Matsuura: "I got the impression that she's a perfect singer, dancer and talker all by herself, so I think she's a 'real idol'. When I study singing, I listen to Matsuura-san's songs and study how to sing like this," she confessed with a big smile.

Looking back on the filming, she said, "It wasn't a scene where I sang and danced, so it was difficult to know how to express myself as Matsuura-san. However, some people who were supporting me said that the atmosphere of the scene resembled Matsuura-san's, so I was determined to keep doing my best. I think I did the best I could! He said.

Hasegawa, who was in charge of the music in the play, is an up-and-coming musician who has emerged from the online music scene and has gained tremendous support from musicians and young music lovers alike. He is currently working as a solo artist while studying at a music college. This is his first film as an accompanist.

Hasegawa said, "The moment I read the script for this film for the first time is still very vivid in my memory. I felt the joyful and empty madness of the idol-mediated time. I felt that I was able to help bring those hidden norms, which are supposed to be hidden, into the public arena in a very small world where everything is laughed at and invalidated," he commented.

The film "Ano Koro." will be released in theaters nationwide in February 2021.

It’s possible she will be shown only at a distance, during the concert scene, from the perspective of the protagonist in the audience. The movie isn’t about her, after all, and it’s much easier that way for her to be a credible lookalike.
