Maybe the challenge for the girls is to write a song for the au campaign, and turn it into a competition where the fans can chose which members song will be used and will be released as a single. Maybe it will be even more interactive, let the fans also be part of making the song.

It would both be a challenge for the girls, as they will have some direct input for a change. And also for Tsunku of course, as he has to make a song around the material that the girls and/or fans will be submitting via their au phones.

There was a TV show here in the Netherlands that did something like this. It featured a couple of producers that had to make a song from all kind of soundbites that people had submitted via the internet. So it could easily be turned into a tv show for Morning Musume.

Japanese Momusu fand have posted thousands of opinions about Tsunku's announcement in Hello Pro 2ch forum,and I've read all opinions.(Opinion postings are still continueing even in midnight.)
Some fans predicted that will be "world tour and challenging to international market,and I agree this opinion. Tsunk has always been cowardly about going to foreign market,but the disorder of his throat might make him this all or nothing decision.

Gouriki + MM collabration, they could even give her an honorary short term member status they could do some kind of documentary about her training to become a top Idol. There's lots they could do with that would be interesting and draw a lot attention.

also it'd be really cool to get a CM like that * o * i really want a Kudou x Ayame picture soon.
but if they did do a collab I'd imagine Ayame would join the dance formation.

Since the thing is coming up:

worst case scenario:
- tsunku introduces an annual change to the line-up so that each year the group will be different with the name change.
- world tour < delayed national releases
- fan review through AU, where the fans can vote/send feedback on the group from their phones.
