I'm kinda over outfits cos remember how worried we were for wagamama? same thing with the name, it's kinda shocking but it works. I think the outfits look better close-up, but the general design of the clothes look bad. like haruna had a nice outfit unlike Sakura.

Today there was an announcement from Tsunku-san、

From next year the way Morning Musume is addressed
Will be changed to 『Morning Musume。 ’14』！
It’ll be read as （Morning Musume One Four）

From now on Morning Musume
Will be able to continue for a long time！
That seems to be the implicit meaning！

The first time I heard about it、
In a word, I was surprised。
Even now I’m still surprised。。 lol

Since we’re changing 『Morning Musume。』
A name with more than 16 years of history
Honestly, there is a sense of discomfort。

Although there is the possibility
That it might just be changed back though 。 lol


But、
Let’s go and create a new era with the new members！
That sense of purpose has been born in us。

When we enter into next year、
We’ll be 『Morning Musume。 ’14』！

In 2015, the plan is for us to become
『Morning Musume。’15』！


Be it 『The current Morning Musume。』 or
Next year’s 『Morning Musume。’14』、

Between the Autumn tour, naruchika tour, H!P countdown live, the H!P winter concerts (and the rehearsals for them) MM.'s schedule is jam packed. Hardly any time to really take x number of days off to shoot music videos. Maybe one PV is feasible but two would be super hard. Especially if they want to release the PVs a month ahead there'd be even less time to edit.

Well, they had a free weekend and week between Budokan and the ongoing Naruchika tour wherein they technically could have taken a day to do the PV. After all, the setlist is just recycled from their Aki tour, so there likely wasn't too much intensive rehearsing - just quick run-throughs.

Then after this tour's final stop on 12/15, they have 2 weeks until the Countdown Live. Since most of the girls are only going to be around for one performance, and are probably doing their more recent songs, it will be the same scenario of quick run-throughs ... maybe learning a big all H!P opening / medley / ending number type thing. I'm betting most of the rehearsing is going to be for the night show, with all these OG/Elder Club coming back and needing to refresh their choreography and lyrics.

Point is, they have time to take a day (or a couple evenings during the week after school is out for the day) to shoot an MV or two. If they ARE wearing the single costumes in that Hey!x3 pic, then they've likely already shot the MV for one song anyhow.

I've been thinking that a positive I could take from this is if they finally divorce new albums from the numbered structure. There is something about having the a new album with a 12 or a 13 in the title that makes it sound like too much to be bothered. If they could drop the numbering system on the albums and just release an album with whichever title they please, they might even be able to be marketed more strongly.
