Morning Musume. '14 12th gen - Golden audition

If anyone is wondering what "not ready for Morning Musume" vs what "Ready for Morning Musume" looks like.

My has Maria grown since she joined the KSS!

She is beautiful and I think she will continue to be a beauty in the group. Awkward new member photo aside, she photographs really well.

Also I'm always going to feel like Maria is just another 11ki member because she was in the same audition as Sakura haha. Its like when Mikitty joined 6th gen and she was really more like Gen 4.5

I will still not understand the 11th gen auditions. Calling it "Suppin Utahime" and having half of the finalist girls who really needed singing lessons.

I assume the Golden Auditions were about charisma.

Whenever I see "Haga" I read it as "Aga" because of spanish.
(Haga = hacer = "he makes")
It will take me a while to get used to it being "HHHHHaga"

Some think it was rigged and only held as an excuse to add Sakura. That would make the whole thing just one big egg audition haha

I don't believe it, but its funny to imagine.

I doubt it was staged as there were other good candidates. With her good vocal ability, Ono Haruka could have been a great addition to MM too, but she would have been older than everyone except Sayu and Harunan. Also, Maria ended up a good fit for MM eventually, obviously.

Don't trust audition titles. Remember how 62% energetic our Happy 8 audition winner Aika was? I know it was a pun with happy and hachi but still.

Also I think that Tsunku has gone back to his preference for diamonds in the roughs. Riho must have been a huge exception, because he knew the group was going through a major change and needed an ace to carry it through. Other exceptions are Fujimoto Miki, and Goto Maki who may have been added with the same mindset. Sakura was also added to fill a vocal void with the lucky combo that she was also a diamond in the rough. (And I guess Koharu was added to be an ace... ) Its as if Tsunku only adds aces when he feels the group desperately needs it. If he feels Morning Musume doesn't need more talent he defaults to girls with more hidden potential or personality.
