My Yuugure theory

I know a lot of people have mentioned this already, but Yuugure is definitely dedicated to Tsunku and his current condition. Some examples are:

"It isn't goodbye, it is the departure of a journey" - Tsunku isn't going to say goodbye to us, however, after years of being public in the music industry, he's going somewhat private (Like we don't see him in concerts or interviews anymore)

"I don't want to show this to anyone, my crying face" - Tsunku, when he does make appearances like in the most recent one, stays strong for us. He could've broke down, but he didn't.

"I'm reminded of the fun, nostalgic days" - I'm sure while Tsunku was absent, he's been thinking back to when he was healthy

"My new lifestyle is sometimes lonesome and sometimes heartbreaking" - I'm sure there's been times when Tsunku has just been alone in the hospital or at home, and the heartbreaking part is that he had to give up his voice.

"I'm doing my best" - Despite what he's been going through, Tsunku refuses to give up on himself

"Doing the best that we can, I'm doing it and she's doing it too" - Tsunku and his wife (or maybe even children) are trying their best to cope with this new fate

Feel like the contest thread should be closed and that MV discussion should be here.

I don't... hate it, but it was all over the place. It felt messy. None of the scenes really flowed together and a lot of them were weird/unnecessary. The Vitruvian Man thing was bizarre, the scene of Maria jumping at the end had no relation to anything else and I have no idea what the wall scenes were trying to be.

If they'd just stuck with the train theme, I think it would've been great. The running on top of the train was cool and while the slow motion for the in-train scenes was kinda odd, it wasn't terrible. The dancing on the platform scenes was stupid, but I'd rather have a dance shot there than on some random garden background.

At least the girls looked great, I guess.

Some scenes were a bit weird, but overall I like the theme and I love the dance shot in the field.

But I liked the train part where they were doing their various things, that was awesome. And the feel for the dance break. The dance shot would be neat. Without the sakura plz cause wtf. School uniforms and hair down was nice styling, too.

I'll stick with UF's version though.

this wins on the basis that you can actually see the choreography and not just white space.

the contrast is so real betwen the plain, basic standard PV, and this other unnecessarily, imaginative and fun version.
hate it or love it, there's another version for your taste.

i love the Big Chance PV. It's a total win. This is how u debut a new generation, unlike the main PV. So much variety and it was just fun. Something we haven't had in a music video for Morning Musume in a long time.

and they all look really good and fresh and got equal screen time FOR ONCE. and no Karin

also Shibue is probably a casual fan? i appreciate that he included little things about the girls characters like kabedon, and Eripon's selfies.

I'm in the love group for this.

I absolutely love how the 12th Gen are given a huge spotlight, with the loose narrative of them being the "new kids". I also absolutely love that the girls are all given a "moment" and for a lot of them it's highlighting their personalities/characters (Haruka's kabedon, Maachan giggling in a studious Sakura's lap, Ayumi giving off Daiishi feeling, Kanon enjoying her food to name some) These scenes combined with the final shot makes this an amazing introduction video for people who know nothing about the current Morning Musume. This gives them something to remember the girls by other than "the short haired one" or other physical descriptions. It also makes them look fun and interesting.

I also think the dance is much easier to catch and this version which surprised me. The way the dance break was showcase has made more use of the way it was approached in the song (with the silence) than in any performance I've seen yet (both live and in the PV)

Yes it's busy, yes it's got it's weirdo moments, but I feel like MM'15 needs something like this to make them stick out from other idols right now, for them to establish themselves without Sayu's connection to the time when everyone knew who was in Morning Musume.

Moments that are so awesome I can't get over:
-Maria's wtf face at the cheering girls
-Creeper Ayumi talking in Miki's ear
-Eripon's absolutely adorable smile post-selfie
-Maachan stealing Sakura's music sheet
-Actually every Maachan moment in the video, she looks like she's having the time of her life, I've never seen her look so natural in a music video. This was her element.
-Riho and Mizuki's dance spotlight. I didn't even know Mizuki HAD one in the dance break till now
-Maria the Angel of Sakura
