Announced today at the Kenshuusei Recital @ Zepp Tokyo
We're pleased to announce that Yonemura, Ishiguri, Kubota, and Saito will be joining Hello! Project's new group, which will be formed by the end of this year!
We hope you will continue to support these four members as they work even harder towards their debut!
The "Hello! Project Kenshuusei Recital" is a regular event where trainees who aim to make their debut, perform their original songs and covers of the songs of the groups belonging to Hello Pro. 4 performances were held this time, 2 at Zepp Tokyo in Tokyo on March 7th and 2 at Zepp Namba (OSAKA) in Osaka on March 13th. This article introduces the Zepp Tokyo performance held on March 7th.
The live started with Berryz' "Be Genki <Naseba Naru!>" while the audience was lit up with colorful penlights. The 19 members of the group changed halfway through each chorus to create an uplifting and energetic stage. The girls then sang "Table Seki Aitetemo Counter Seki", an original song by Hello Pro Kenshuusei, and "Animal Land", a new song they performed for the first time today. In the song "Animal Land", they performed humorous dances based on animal motifs on the powerful rock sound.
After that, the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit, consisting of four selected members, Yonemura Kirara, Ishiguri Kanami, Kubota Nanamai, and Saito Madoka, performed two songs in succession: "Oh No Ounou" by Kobushi Factory and "Mistake," an original song that is a standard number at live performances.
Team Tamamushi, consisting of Yamada Ichigo, Hirayama Yuki, Kitahara Momo, Ebata Kisaki, and Ishiyama Sakura, who had won the right to perform through auditions, gave an emotional performance of Juice=Juice's "Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne".
In the dance section, Nakayama Natsume, Onoda Karin, Hiromoto Ruri and Uemura Hasumi performed Tsubaki Factory's "Fuwari, Koi Dokei", and in the singing section, Ishiguri Kanami performed Fujimoto Miki's "Aenai Negai Nichiyoubi" solo.
After the MC's talk corner, they performed "Megane no Otoko no Glasses," in which they showed us a different expression with their small theatrical performance, followed by "Gobaku ~We Can't Go Back~," "Zukyun Love," and "Tabidachi no Haru ga Kita," all of which were up-tempo numbers. They went on to perform "BE HAPPY Koi no Yajirobee", in which the Kenshuusei unit showed their light movements while incorporating Hip Hop. At the end of the show, all the members were back on stage for the passionate dance number "Omotesando A5", followed by "Seishun Collection", which brought the audience to a refreshing clap and a grand finale.
At the end of the live, the leader of Hello! Project, Fukumura Mizuki (Morning Musume. '21) made a surprise appearance, causing the trainees and the audience to gasp in surprise. Fukumura made three announcements about the Hello Pro Kenshuusei. She told the surprised Kenshuusei that a new Hello! Project group would be formed by the end of this year, and that four members of the Kenshuusei unit had been chosen to be members of the new group. The audience applauded loudly when they were told that the trainees outside the unit would also have opportunities to join the new group depending on their hard work. The formation of the new group will be decided by the end of this year. They also announced that there would be a solo performance by the Hello Pro Kenshuusei at Nakano Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo on April 17th, and that the annual event "Spring Ability Test" would be held on May 3rd, where each trainee would give a solo performance.
Fukumura told the audience "I'm so happy to be able to announce to all of you that we're going to have a new group, even though it's getting difficult for us to hold concerts."
She told the trainees, "So many people have come to support you so that you can debut. I'm so happy to be able to announce your debut". After that, all 19 Kenshuusei members sang an original ballad number "Mirai e Tsunagu Yakusoku". The curtain came down on the performance as warm applause echoed throughout the venue.

Edit: I just realised if Kanami debuts what happens to the Hokkaido Kenshuusei? Because it’s literally just Kanami there.
