Hahahah I knew I had an inkling that I had already mentioned it, thanks Celedam!
But also the pace of releases has gotten soooo slow. I'm not asking for a lot but 3 singles a year sounds good to me. And I don't need them to double/triple a-sides either. Just split the single triple a-side into three separate releases pls and thank you.

Not to excuse prior years but surely it's at least the case in 2020 that external events beyond their control have conspired to reduce H!P's creative output.

Well, we all seem to like "BRAND NEW MORNING"…
…and we certainly don't have much else to talk about right now…
… so fuck it.

With Upfront hiring younger story driven lyricists like Kodama Ameko, Fukuda Kanon and Ohashi Riko, it helps the members connect to the songs a lot better. Tsunku writes powerful lyrics from what inspires him. Hoshibe Sho goes for catchy and trendy lyrics for this generation.

I agree with y'all that BNM is just a downright great song. To be honest, I've been preferring most of the recent MM./H!P songs that
weren't written by Tsunku.

Will Kitagawa Rio have to face punishment for causing a scandal by wearing the same outfit a famous youtuber wore?

1) that is a cute fucking dress and they both look so great in it! Also, lol Amped. We should do a who wore it better poll! (If it wasn't worn I could totally see it being used as a single outfit!!)
2) I have no problem with non-Tsunku songs or lyricists, it's just the memorability that's been hard for me; to be quite honest I don't pay much attention to the credits of the songs anyway. There have definitely been some great H!P songs these past few years, they just don't appear to be given to/assigned to MM

3) one of my favorite things about BNM (and I think Celedam you may have pointed this out?) is how Kaga, in her first MM song, does the knee jerky thing during the chorus that only a dancer-dancer would do.

Been downloading and watching some old shows (muSix!, PopJam, Digital Dream Live,..) going all the way back before 2000.
It's all in excellent quality thanks to Japan's very early start with HD broadcasts.
That's why I find it all the more strange that the show that spawned H!P, Asayan, can only be found online in the most atrocious, often sub-SD quality.
Were there simply less people recording this stuff than other shows? Was there never a disc release?
Still, it remains a bit mindblowing to watch a year pre-2000 episode of say Music Station today and have it be indistinguishable from modern HD content.

^ It seems like they at least released one ASAYAN DVD box set in 2005 (浅草橋ヤング洋品店 魂の在庫一掃大セールDVD-BOX).
