Hard to believe that Otsuka Ai song was ten years ago. She had such an awesome career than vanished off the face of the earth, it seems. She's back in some band named Rabbit but they seem to not be making much of a splash. Might have to do with their making the tragic decision to de-emphasize their main draw - they don't even show the band members in their promo clip.

Anyway, back on topic, I don't even think of the Love Machine group as "Morning Musume" anymore really. It's that OG/Dream group; got nothing to do with our girls now. It's always fun to see them do those "funky" dance gyrations, though.

The songs from 2003 onward (esp. Seishun Amigo) seem so recent, probably because I was already listening to J-Pop then and remember them being released. I really love these "classic" J-Pop songs.

lol for that reason that I do remember half of those songs being released is why I find them so nostalgic. Even though it's like "omfg that was 2004?!" I still get that なつかしーーー feeling haha. Still get it for some of the songs released 1993/4/5 and stuff too though, can't quite explain why.

For some reason, it made me really happy to see Whiteberry on that list. XD

Oh, I remember Sakuranbo, Sign, Hana and Seishun Amigo so well. I miss the mid-00s.

Love Machine is the idol anthem, even if it has to share its throne with Heavy Rotation now. :hehe:

Anyway, I approve of that list 90s-early 00s J-pop was the best.
