Today at Osaka's release event Zukki didn't dance in formation. Something was wrong with her eye it seems. No depth perception I assume. When I was doing the handshake I noticed even her eye not covered was pretty red. Hopefully she'll be all right. I'm sure one of the Japanese fans has better details, I couldn't understand the Japanese.

More than 1500 copies of the single was sold at the event.

Today's handshake and mini live event started at 6PM so I didn't get there until around 4:45PM. Little did I know that they had started selling CDs (actual copies! yay!) and handshake tickets at 10AM, so I ended up getting handshake ticket number 1135 . This meant I didn't get to enter the area they gate off as only the first 500 get to do that. This ended up affecting my experience as I never got to see more than from the girls' chest up (should have gone to stand on the second floor instead.

As mentioned before Zukki had pink eye and since she can't really do formation dances with one eye covered, she danced off on the side. What was really nice, though, was that she made sure to stand on both sides at different points so everyone could get a chance to see her.

Before starting, they did microphone testing with Ima Sugu Tobikomu. Afterwards the girls start to complain about the heat and Mizuki mentions that she's already gotten all sweaty from just dancing one song. Maachan chirps up that she's not sweaty at all yet and the other girls tease her and ask if she properly danced it at all. (I found this comment interesting, because when ANGERME did their pre-mini live warm up, most of them didn't really truly dance at all, while MM danced and sung as if it was the real deal. Different group culture I guess).

First song was Oh my Wish! which is great live. It was too bad though my spot didn't let me see the dance group well, however.

The MC was really amusing. Mizuki starts reading from the card and announces that Ogata will be the MC for today's question corner, titled "Haachin Channel" (It might have been HaaChannel as well..) Haachin apparently hadn't known at all because she started freaking out. The other girls all seemed shocked as well, and they all started to goodnatured-ly tease her about it. Mizuki explains further that it's because they're in Osaka of course. Maachan seems to be complaining a lot and one of the other girls call her out on being jealous and wanting to be the MC. Maachan admits that this is true and as they start moving around to get ready for the Question corner they joke about maybe next time they could do a "MaaChannel".

Ogata is obviously nervous as she seems to almost try to get the chattering girls' attention a few times, but then decide against it. Haruka points it out and this leads Ogata to getting her confidence up and truly try to start. But wait a minute! We're apparently missing like four girls. Apparently they'd taken the time to run off to get a drink or towel off some sweat while the staff were setting up chairs and other things. Ayumi and Ikuta run back on stage telling Ogata to wait. The other girls then realize that Mizuki is still missing as well so they tell Haachin that she can't start without their leader! They start calling for their leader, when Riho pops up going "What a minute! I wasn't back either guys T_T!". Mizuki runs back on right after saying that she was just covered in sweat and had to get rid of it. (Audience of course going Fu~Fu~).

Ogata is finally able to start. The first question.

1) What is something you like about Ogata Haruna?

The response was a lot of face-palming. Haachin innocently asks if anyone would like to answer, and Ayumi raises her hand and answers "Nope. Nothing" Major Tsukkomi from Daiishi Haachin pleads again for something and Harunan raises her hand and says that she likes how white Ogata's skin is. The other girls then point out that they want to see the Harunas next to each other, which embarrasses Harunan a lot, as she tends to have darker skin. Standing next to each other there is a visible difference.

Haachin next directly implores Akane to answer the question by saying that "Akane looks like she wants to say something". Unsurprisingly, as we get to know Akane's character more and more, she answers with something rather serious and deep. She says that she likes how Haachin always seems to know what Akane is trying to say or thinking and just in general knows her really well. Ogata looks surprised saying that she thought for sure Akane was just going to say something like "I love Haachin!" The other girls comment that Akane and Haachin's relationship is kind of like a married couple which embarrasses the two.

It looks like this might be the only thing nice said about poor Ogata Haruna when Mizuki suddenly raises her hand saying she remembered something she wanted to say. Mizuki mentions that Haachin seems to have a lot of variety about her. She mentions stuff Haachin puts on her blog and different things she does. She especially likes something Ogata does on her blog: Eh! Eh! Oh-gata! ((Eh! Eh! Oh! is a common phrase to pump up ones spirit in Japan)). The rest of the girls now want to see Haachin do it on stage with the audience. As she has never done it on stage before, she was super nervous and barely pulled it off. Ikuta then is implored to do her own "Ganbatte-Ikuta" which us fans happily did with her. Haruka then mentions that there's one she wants to do when Haachin jokingly cuts her off, saying it's time for the next question. In the end they let Haruka do it and I'm actually not quite sure what it was ...

2) What is something cute about Ogata Haruna?

Once again the rest of the girls give a big reaction to the vanity. But to quickly move along, they say that pretty much everything is cute about Ogata Haruna, which causes Haachin to get all bashful and embarrassed.

3) If you could be granted something what would it be?

The reaction this time is surprise that the question is not about Haachin again. Harunan asks if the question is in general or in the realm of Ogata Haruna, just to be sure, but Haachin confirms that it's in general.

Riho raises her hand immediately. The other day her headphones seemed to be giving out. Sound kept dropping out while she was using them, so she ended up giving up and buying a new pair. The day she bought her new pair she went home to try the old pair one more time and they started working perfectly. So in conclusion, since the new pair was pretty expensive, she really wishes she could get that money back since now she has two pairs of working headphones and she only needs one.

Haachin immediately pipes up that she'll give her back the money. The other girls teach her for saying it, but Riho obviously looks pleased about her Kouhai love.

Haruka is the next to raise her hand. Her wish is that she could get better at English. She mentions that when she's in Hawaii or some place overseas she can't go out shopping by herself or anything. She wishes she could be like Ayumi who seems to just be able to get through situations overseas really well. During this talk, Nonaka starts to stand up. She comes closer to Haruka and starts speaking in perfectly natural English. I really wish I could have taped this moment, it was the perfect English/Daiishi moment. I will try my best to describe. Italics is Japanese.

Nonaka: Excuse me, I need to go to the hospital it's really important.
Haruka: (Starts panicking) Ah! No no no!
(Ayumi stands up in between them)
Nonaka: Please can you help me? It's an emergency.
Ayumi: Say! Say! Say! Say! (Goes up to Nonaka confidently and pull of Daiishi feeling, pats her shoulder).
Nonaka: I think I'm sick or something, please I need to go to the hospital!
Ayumi: Ok! You don't look good Let's go! (starts leading Nonaka away)

All the other girls clap in wonder at Ayumi's ability to navigate a situation (while obviously not using any English at all ). I, on the other hand, have been laughing hysterically over what random English Nonaka decided to use. I like her sense of drama, it's no wonder her and Haachin get along so well. It isn't until they all settle down again that someone asks Nonaka what in the world she was saying. They get even more impressed by Ayumi when Nonaka translates, since Ayumi seemed to catch that she wasn't feeling well.

The MC wraps up then and they go on the the next three songs.

I was really impressed by how well Yuugure and Ima Sugu flow together. They're almost like the same song musically. When it started, I had a moment where I thought they were repeating Yuugure again.

The next MC was just promotion. Nonaka does make a mistake and excitedly mention that she's going to be in Osaka on the 21st while Mizuki and the other girls were still talking about the 20th. She realizes this halfway through and gets super embarrassed and ends up not talking for the rest of the promotion. I'm thinking she was still on a high from successfully pushing herself and creating a great moment in the earlier MC that she got a little "push" crazy.

Because I was around the 500th person to shake their hands, the line had gotten super fast by me. It was almost as if I was on a moving sidewalk. Constant motion. I almost missed shaking Mizuki's hand because of it since she was trying to take off her Sukatto head band and it had gotten stuck in her hair (she still gives the best handshakes though). An interesting thing I noticed is that, 12th Gen aside, a lot of the other girls are started to remember my face. They look at me a first as if I could be anyone, but then their face changes as they give a kind of double take and settle into a look of familiarity. It's different from earlier "Ah! White person! double takes that I'm uses to from H!P girls lol.

I haven't decided if this is a good thing... or a bad thing... because it means I've gone to a lot of events by now and I've become one of the wota they remember because they see a lot DDDDD

Aw my poor baby got embarassed. It must've been much of a big deal on her part, since she does seem like the shyest 12th gen, along with Haga. I'm glad she's attempting to push herself more though.
