Whoah according to her only about 12 families in Japan has the surname Sayashi and apparently she does come from a line of Katana sheath makers, probably not her immediate family though

I think for me what's surprising is that she knows exactly how many families carry the name. If I'm not mistaken, she's met most of them already (based on a memory I have of a post in H!O....which was posted around the time she joined....).

I'd like to think that at least one member of her branch of the family still continues the trade. The government regulates the making of nihon-to but I'm not sure if the law also applies to other craftsmen involved in the making of one (I know there's a polisher, a sharpener, someone who makes the tsuba, the handle, and of course, the sheath). As long as they maintain contact with the family member who still continues the traditional family craft, one of her brothers can apply for apprenticeship. Hard to see them doing that though since being a craftsman is hard and mostly unrewarding work....and I'm putting this on spoilers because it's got no connection to Sayashi being an idol whatsoever.

My girl Harunan has gotten so much better at... everything. Her dancing is finally solid (Not perfect but she blends so well now, she can even do the body rolls in 123! WHAT) and her singing is much much better. I love Ayumi and Sakura more everyday too. Man, my top three is like a trinity of perfection.

Also, I don't know when this happened but Mizuki is my favorite 9th gen member now. How!? She used to be my least favorite in the whole group!

I feel like a broken record gushing about her every time she does something.
....but I can never stress enough how awesome it for Morning Musume to have Sayu as its leader, so here goes
Notice how In Harosute the topic is pretty much decided by the MCs? Well, they kinda do. Eripon and Airi talked about golf, Nakky wanna show us her hair make so voila in the next episode they did... and in Wada's and Maasa's eps they were promoting their respective groups too I suppose (although I barely remember what they talked about).
So what did Sayu do? Why, bring a camera backstage of course ! It's pretty much what lots of fans have been clamoring about, lo and behold! Fairy Sayumi shall grant your wishes!

In every opportunity she never missed a chance to promote the group and its members too...
God, I love her

*clears throat* Ehem, now other highlights for me...
-The Ikebukuro live are spot on, no complains on that aspect. p.s : PonPon owned the 123 performance.
-Ishida fixing her straps on the ground...yeah, just keep throwing more fuels to that fire Ayumin xD
-Sayu really loved making Kudo blush lol
-Yay for showing us energetic, smiling broadly Zukki again
-Super close up only on Fukuchan, as expected from Sayu
-Riho sniping on the PonPon combi from the side while they're arguing about iron curlers lmfao. "Business PonPon"
-Sayu said the ones who like to approach the camera most often backstage are Sayashi and Ikuta, unexpectedly Maachan was the least often.
-Sayu noticed a lot more women and young girls in their handshake events, she's very happy seeing that.
