Why don't they move some of those handshake events to this week?

So, out of curiosity, these girls have gotten over a decade of vocal lessons.
Do you think Chinami has been trained to sing the way she does, idol style~, or do some people just lack any capacity to carry a tune regardless of how many lessons you take? Same can be asked for Sayumi. 10 years of vocal lessons... and this is what the product is? :wait:

Sayumi has improved insanely over 10 years. She stopped in the middle but she's STILL improving. It's crazy.

The backgirls in Berryz... idk. I'm settling with that they're simply not born to sing. Captain has gotten noticeably better but. Uuh.

Sayu is not a better singer than Chinami  Absolutely not. And Sayu is my favorite in Momusu, but nope. They both can be... "harmless" on slower songs, if they're not dancing. And they're both a little, tiny bit above Maasa. It's a combination of both factors, I recall someone in H!P saying they were finally getting proper vocal training, or something like that. And yes, some of these girls are just never going to be good singers.

I'm not saying Sayumi is better than Chinami - but Sayumi has improved more than Chinami has. And to me Sayumi has a tone to her voice that's a lot less horrible than Chinami's. That's just a matter of preference though.

The MM members were saying they're getting voice training. That doesn't mean that Berryz/Cute are, nor that they haven't in the past. Just for MM.

I personally prefer Chinami's tone. But I admittedly enjoy Sayu's voice too :fear:

I think in Sayu's case it's a combination of her massively improving albeit only from horrendous->acceptable (seriously, compare her audition days->2005ish to the recent concerts, you can clearly see how much she had improved since) and the fact that they've found a style that works for her and wasted no time in utilizing it. Meanwhile Chinami... still kinda sounds and sings the same way for as long as I can remember.

For what it's worth though, I'm an avid gamer and after 10+years I still suck hard at rhythm and racing games, competitively speaking, so I don't hold their lack of singing abilities (by her own admission Sayu still counts here, however great her improvement has been) against either of them. Some people are just less inclined to some particular skill than others.
However, that shouldn't stop them from improving in other areas and that's basically what my main complaint for Berryz is :/
