If you need to take hypertension medicine, it's important to keep taking it - I worked with a guy who'd been taking it since he was 15, just because that's how his blood bressure happened to work.

It's also important to provide feedback to your doctor. Less experienced doctors and "physician's assistants" take the recommendation of 120/80 or 115/75 as an absolute rule and sometimes overprescribe in order to get you down to that. I speak from experience.

Many cases of hypertension can also be relieved by simply increasing potassium intake, decreasing sodium intake, and staying properly hydrated. Our modern diets are terrible about stuff like that, so again we are overprescribed.

I've mentioned before that I use a custom HOSTS file as my cookies/adware/malware blocker. (Hat tip to MVPS for providing the base; I add my own entries on top of it.)

I think I've also mentioned before that I was frustrated by how it apparently didn't work when I used my iPhone as a mobile hotspot for Internet access on my MacBook Pro.

I figured it out. The MacBook Pro (or macOS in general) uses IPv6 to talk to the iPhone. The HOSTS file only had IPv4 entries. I doubled the list — first half the original IPv4 entries, second half repeated with IPv6 entries — and now it works again.

Just an FYI for anyone who might be in a similar situation.

My brother and I are in middle of our CA trip (graduation trip, you know?).
We started in SF, drove down through Highway One (what a crazy drive that was!) and did some stops along the way, spent a few in LA, tour of hollywood and things of the like, and are now heading back up to SF to finish our trip where it began, and do our final Bay-area touring!
Super excited! Next time I come to this side of the country, I'll let y'all westerners know!

That reminds me that a few months back one of my staff didn’t show up for work. When he finally called, he said there was a flock of wild geese outside his home that were attacking him when he stepped foot on his lawn and they wouldn’t let him leave the house. I mean of course geese are notoriously gangster unlike sweet little duckies but even so.
