it bothers me a bit that people are using the Ren'ai spelling so much because that's how it was first written out. people don't use it for Renai Revolution or Renai Rider.. it's the same word lol. i know that sometimes the ん sounds nasally and that the apostrophe is supposed to reflect that, but it's totally not necessary to romanize it that way imo. or at the very least, use it consistently for every word that it applies to..

I spell it like that because I remember a talk in the old jpopcenter people where saying how it should be in Ren'ai
So it just stuck.. And my phone autocorrects renai to Ren'ai so I don't really want to go back take it out for no reason lol.

But it sounds like that in the song. Like they're very clearly breaking up the word.

I always thought it's just to distinguish re-nai (if that has any meaning at all) from ren-ai, which would be completely obvious from the kanji/kana but not romaji

But I also just tag all my files in kanji/kana so I don't care
