^ The term you're thinking of is tennen (天然) which is an abbreviation for tennen boke (天然ボケ).
Tennen boke = natural airhead or person prone to making silly mistakes.

Masaki is a great example of a Tennen character. Also, as my japanese friend told me, in order to be tennen, the mistake has to be done in a cute way (kawaii).

This series was the best! I loved KonKon's segments! I liked the one where Ayaka teaches her to say "we're so in love". I also loved Nacchi's segments. The one where Nacchi runs away was hilarious! Everyone dreaded seeing Ayaka with tha microphone(unless they saw she had cake with her. )
