From the official BABYMETAL channel, the video (?) for their new song "PA PA YA!!"…

Unfortunately, it was recorded at Yokohama Arena on June 29 (and then quickly edited for posting) instead of June 28, so the substitute dancer is Kano Fujihira (from Sakura Gakuin) instead of Riho Sayashi.

Why June 29? Probably on the (correct) assumption that the audience would have learned the song by then, from the previous day's leaks, and therefore would look more enthusiastic and engaged in the video.

Me, I'm just happy they're back to having the members actually perform in their own video. The last few videos were generic heavy metal imagery — for example, random thrashers in an empty wasteland at night. Boring. I understand why they did those videos like that, but still. On the bright side, it gives this video the feeling of a comeback.

This is my jam right now. And I can't get enough of their dance at 2:44.

It's interesting how they're deliberately targeting other Asian countries: this is their nod to Thailand, "Shanti" is their nod to India, and so on.

Johnny Kitagawa, president and founder of Johnny & Associates, a top Japanese talent agency that produced a number of popular male idol groups over decades, died of a ruptured cerebral aneurysm on Tuesday afternoon at a Tokyo hospital. He was 87. His real name was Hiromu Kitagawa.

Numerous idol groups were launched through his agency, including SMAP, Arashi, Tokio, Kinki Kids, Shonentai and King & Prince, among others.

Kitagawa reportedly collapsed on June 18 and was rushed to a hospital. The incident was kept secret but a number of entertainers reportedly visited the hospital to see the so-called godfather of Japanese show business.

Facing reporters on July 1, the five members of pop group Arashi for the first time revealed Kitawaga was hospitalized.

“When we have time, we go to the hospital as often as we can. We wish he would get better as soon as possible,” Arashi member Jun Matusmoto said.

End of an era.

Mmmmm I'm gonna my personal opinion to myself, but I'm sorry for his family.

Yuna (Malaysian singer-songwriter) is releasing a new album soon; I'm really digging this track and the art style in the video.

I'm super late, but I finally got to spin Gary Clark Jr.'s new album and it's outstanding. The Curtis Mayfield/Marvin Gaye vibes on "Feed the Babies"? I'm a sucker for that sound.

Last Summer, Morning Musume. '18 got to perform with DA PUMP's U.S.A. craze.

This year, DA PUMP performed U.S.A. with Takarazuka.
