^Yep, I think Berryz is not getting any good songs lately is basically the problem too.
I never particularly liked crazy Berryz much but Cha Cha Sing-level quirky would be nice
Spoiler: show
p.s lol @ MM girls not getting heat. I think around here's among the few exceptions as far as international fan forums goes and it's not nearly 100% adoration rating even here too, maybe around 60-70% (pulling statistics out of my ass yay) with a more positive atmosphere overall. But wrong thread for this I suppose, lets get back to Berryz

It just is. No one was celebrating C-ute's awesomeness during Kono Machi. Not only that, it sold like one half of what Crazy Kanzen na Otona.

Current H!P line-up is so interesting and unique and it's so frustrating that UFA/Tsunku won't stick to what each group is good at except for Morning Musume. The truth is only C-ute could pull off something like Crazy Kanzen na Otona. Same with Berryz and cha cha SING, same with S/mileage and Postwoman. I'm not saying they should release nothing but clones of their successful songs, but attempting to build any kind of momentum would be smart. See: Morning Musume. Plus, when are the rest of the groups going to get multiple b-sides showcasing all the members and better promotion?

Well, to be fair Asian Celebration got two b-sides, which I like much better than Asian Celebration itself

Kono Machi was also a cover though. Cover ballads are hardly ever a good idea.

Except in the case of Kono Machi because I love Kono Machi.

That's the thing - it wasn't a good idea.

And I'm really leaving my taste out of this - Be Genki (which bombed hard) is my favorite Berryz single ever (tied with Maji Bomber), I love every S/mileage single after Postwoman better than Postwoman and while I love Crazy Kanzen na Otona, my favorite C-ute singles are Sekaiichi Happy na Onna no Ko and Campus Life

LOL I know, but remember: my opinions are quite obviously fact :starra: .

If H!P starts doing multiple b-sides each single for every group and keeping it as their trademark or something that'll be awesome
... except for Tsunku I guess, poor guy would probably die of exhaustion XD
but hey maybe he can try outsourcing some of the b-sides or just do a cover song lol

It's not really their trademark though because AKB has been doing it since 2010 :fear: .

Johnny's been doing it since... forever?

While it is about the songs, no doubt, I'd say that to me it seems as though Berryz are really just comfortable with where they are. Except for Momoko. C-ute had been talking about Budoukan for about a year or so and now finally it's here. Of course popularity has a lot to do with it, but talking about it, makes fans want it for them too. Same with Morning Musume, Sayumi has been talking about wanting to become more relevant and reach good numbers etc.

Can't say I've heard about a goal like that from Berryz in... like, ever.

I wasn't saying AKB were the first or the only ones, just that they have been doing it for a while XD.
