6th Station ~Other Bands for H!P Fans~

I feel so conflicted.

1. I liked S1 Produce 101 a lot.
2. I did not like S2 at all, except for one guy.
3. I don't follow *48/46, and find it mildly annoying every time a new sister group is announced.
4. I'm 100% not a fan of Akimoto.
5. If it ends up being co-ed (I doubt it?), what curiosity-based interest I have will drop by half.

But I did like S1PD101, and that's the biggest temptation to at least pay attention to it in passing even if I won't follow the group that comes out of it.

chelmico - Zurui ne

Just got around to watching these. I don't think Frederic is ever going to live up to the bracing lime tartness of Oddloop, but Tarinai eye is pretty good. I like the Japanese sidetitles, wish more videos would have them.

Never heard of chelmico but that is a really nice sound.

The title reminds me of when H!P had some kind of "Reborn" theme while simultaneously putting on a play called "Ribbon" (or vice-versa, it's been a while) and I was too lazy and disinterested to figure out if it was supposed to be a play on words or just a coincidence.

Oricon's Favorite Artist Ranking 2017 by 20,000 music fans. Mr. Children is #1 and dethrones Arashi's 7 year run. Utada Hikaru is #2 overall and #1 in the female artist category. She was #1 in 2008. The list hasn't changed much from last year.

^ Ikimonogakari are the only group popular among all age ranges. Kana Nishino is hot with the nursery school crowd; I guess that says a lot about my tastes. Popularity moves at a glacial pace in Japan though. Out of the top 25 on the general list, only Gen Hoshino (2010), [Alexandros] (2010), Nogizaka 46 (2011), and back number (2011) debuted during this decade. Everybody else is older. That's why you can miss Music Station for a couple of years and they're still showing the same performers as from the last time.

Wack's new group Empire finally released a song, and I love it! It's definitely the best YeLLOW Generation song in the past ten years! (OK, maybe that's and exaggeration, but after I saw the butterfly, I started to notice so much YG influence in the arrangement. )
