I just booked my hotel and bought a Thalys ticket to Paris. The last thing was quite the hassle, the Dutch website of the Thalys would only let me buy the most expensive tickets. To such an extent that the 1st class tickets were even cheaper then the 2nd class tickets. Luckily the French railways also have a website in Dutch were I could get my return trip tickets for just €90 instead of €230.

Anyway, Paris here I come in February.

Something similar for me happened, flying from UK to charles de gauklle was like £130 from a city miles from me, going to another airport outside Paris from my homecity was just £40, lesson for all is to look around
