that would be kinda awesome.

sometimes we do get genuine fans auditioning/joining, but most of the time we get like "My parents told me to audition" or "I want to be an idol! Of course I love Hello! Project! Hm..? Why do people keep asking me about a Love Machine? I don't have any machines.." Haruna and especially Masaki still have trouble remembering song titles or recognizing songs lol.

based on evidence (of how she was when she joined) i'd say the way it went down was that she was a fan or watched Hello! Morning when she was young, and was definitely aware of who they are/how popular they were and all that, but she didn't continue to follow them passed middle school or high school age.
not that i mind, i think it's nice to have a fresh perspective and believe girls should be chosen based on talent/potential, not whether they are fans. and also that way the ones who ARE fans are particularly endearing.
