Minzy is leaving 2NE1 and supposedly they're gonna have a comeback as three members during the summer.
Honestly, I'm of the opinion that they should just go ahead and disband. The only focus has been on CL and her non-existent US debut, anyway.

BABYMETAL will be the musical guest on the April 5 episode of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing that tonight.

I think the last time I saw a J-Pop artist on one of the late night American talk shows was when PUFFY were on Jimmy Kimmel Live after their appearance on the Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2005.



Unfortunately, I can only find that small clip on the YouTubes. They performed two songs, but the rest of the interview (as I recall) was every bit as painful as what's in that clip. At one point, Jimmy says, "We have a guy in this country called Puffy. Would you like to meet him?" Ami and Yumi's response: stone-faced silence. Jimmy: "I guess not." (For those of you not in the know, PUFFY had to be marketed in the U.S. as "Puffy AmiYumi" because of legal action from Sean "Pee-Diddly" Combs.)

Of course, there was also Hatsune Miku's Late Show appearance. Dave's reaction was priceless.

I remember the Hastune Miku thing. Uggghh that was just embarrassing for Jpop fans everywhere. BABYMETAL is much more legitimate at least even if they still have somewhat of a "WTF?" factor.

^ I'd been wondering which song they'd perform. I expected something from the new album, but I think this was a better choice, since this is probably the most "accessible" song for a Western audience in their catalog.
