I think first of all what we see as "overexposure" hardly counts as exposure at all in the real world where people may happen to catch the tail end of some entertainment program between switching channels or whatever. It's like, if say Katy Perry has some signature cute expression, her hardcore fans may be sick of it already, but her non-fans like me have never seen it before, so, she might do it for the tenth time or the thousandth time; it'll still be the first time for me. And of course KP is way more famous than Momoko could ever hope to be. I'd guess that most people have only seen her a few times if at all. They might know of her, but not to the point of overexposure.
Second, notice they don't mention anything about Risako. Or Miyabi. Why? Because nobody knows or even gives a damn who they are. On that level, Momochi is an unmitigated success. Even if she crashes and burns, she'll still be infinitely more well known than her band mates.
