I think he's been looking for higher quality since 9th gen when Tragic-chan didn't get in. Let's face it, 9th and 10th gen are pretty damn solid. Eripon and Zukki have personality to spare, Haruna is beautiful and super talkative, Riho and Ayumi can dance like champs, Mizuki is a decent singer and looks nice, Masaki is all kinds of goofball and multitalented, Haruka has a GREAT voice. None of these girls really give the feeling like they SHOULDN'T be there, like other girls have in the past. I think with 11th gen the process will be smoothed out and we'll see VERY talented girls

^ Fukuchan's also a great dancer, don't forget that

MM is currently very dance-based (it was mentioned several times by Reina, Sayumi, Yuuko, etc) and we know Tsunku is looking for singers, but finding a decent singer that can also dance very well is hard to find. That could be a problem.
Most likely we will have at least one girl that can sing well and WILL be center soon enough. If she gets many lines then she can have some easy dance steps or slack a bit on the dancing (like Reina. Riho still dances like there's no tomorrow).
Anyway, I really don't want it to be like Exile when the singers barely move and the rest don't even have chorus lines, that'd suck

(ain't gonna happen though)

i think it won't be too hard to find a good singer that can at least keep up with the dance (as in not necessarily be considered one of the top dancers, but also not be considered one of the least talented ones). even if they don't start out super strong in the dancing, as long as they're not awkward or impossibly slow at it, they should get pretty good at it over time, like all of MM has since the dancing became more of a focus.
i'm really hoping that Tsunku is choosing only the best singers for the final rounds, then hopefully for the finals we'll have plenty to chose from and be able to see what else they have to offer in addition to their voice (looks, personality, dance skills, other talents such as instruments, etc).

Wow! So excited!
So I'm guessing the winner will be announced at the end of the fall concert?
It won't be enough time to announce it at the end of the Summer concert.
Can't wait to see what girls are in the running. Do you think after this round is over we could get a preview?

I hope so, either that or they'll hurry and release those band audition videos to YouTube.

I forgot about those auditions! Let's hope those get announced at the end of the summer concert.

So UFA.... why not do the whole process in August during the Summer concert so we can have girls decided on by September. Then you can announce them at the beginning of the tour and have them participate more and more as the tour goes on, plus goods for the new girls!
Yes do this..
PLEASE

I keep having this creeping suspicion that this is going to be another 4nin group, very egg heavy...

Like a crepe.
