It kills me how we constantly tell ourselves how tiny these girls are and then I realize.. I'm like 154cm.. barely taller. (I would be super average within H!P I guess?)

i mean, you're short by western standards (i am too at 157cm), but what makes Japanese girls and Japanese idols in particular seem so tiny is not just their height.. everything about them is smaller than what we're used to. their faces, their features, their hands, their entire bone structure, even like their knees, when i'm sitting next to Japanese women on a train or something, it's like i'm sitting next to a child. so yeah, imagine an 11 y/o child at your height, that's really what it really feels more like.

varying on individuals of course, there's just a lot more of them in Japan than there are in other non-asian cultures.

anyway, i don't think we actually know her height yet, but i would say she's hovering around the same as Momo/Captain (i woulda guessed taller, actually, just cuz in my mind they are H!P's shortest and i wouldn't have expected anyone except the youngins like Sayashi, Zukki & Haruka to beat that). if she's shorter than them, it's not by much.

I remember the first Berryz PV I saw was Special Generation, because I avoided them as a hardcore SweetS fan (remember that rivalry?) and Maasa was the giant they shoved in the back hahaha I HAAAAAATED her! haha now she's my fave
