Nitpicking time !! Jplop wouldn't be right any other way lol
-the cuts between edits are painfully obvious, hopefully they'll fix it for the dvd contents
-as neat as the flowering/blooming effect is, I would've loved it even more if they weren't so stationary during the chorus
-poor zukki still looks so out of place :< smile, smile !

I love the CG for this. First thing to pop into my head watching it is Shinjuku and it's amazing. Just saying.
Also love all the amounts of wing-related moves. Tsunku said there would be some, but the way they're executed is really awesome. Goes along with the lyrics, very well.

I just realized… I'm actually looking forward to the odotte mita videos for this single. I want to see how those Japanese crews do it, since many of them are arguably better dancers than even MM.

Jesus Christ that dance. That isn't even something they would have attempted during Golden Era, or Platinum Era even. Colorful Era is really starting to stand out and it shows so much with this dance. Help Me! is going to be the single that really blossoms this new Morning Musume, mark my words.

i think platinum era focused more on singing, but they couldve done this type of dance, I just really hope they promote the hell out of it
edit: also hoping to get some more kurobara or some other similar shows out of it

My first reaction was that the choreography was kind of off-the-wall, with so many strange, jerky, and ungraceful-looking movements (at one point early on, all I could think of was a sea anemone ). But they do an excellent job with it, and the overall effect is so striking that it works -- it's not just another generic idol dance. I think it will get people's attention, and it definitely sets them apart from other incarnations of MoMusu. I like the overall effect.

Ther's something about the background CGI that reminds me soooo much of old Wink PVs -- but that kind of works, for the same reasons that it worked for Wink: it's part of what they are now, in a "take it or leave it but you're going to have to deal with it" kind of way.

And the overall effect is something that AKB just couldn't do at all, which is important -- it draws a major line between what MoMusu is and what AKB is.
