I feel bad putting Ayumi and Haruna so low because they are both really pretty and funny, but not enough to make up for their singing, unlike Sayumi and Erina (for the most part). But even though Erina is more funny and interesting than Mizuki, her singing just isn't good enough for me to put her above Mizuki, who is developing into a really good singer. I've always liked Masaki, but she's grown on me tons after hearing her sing live. How is she so good? Her "onna no ko" was way better than anybody else's, for example.

poor Aika, no matter how much she improves she cannot seem to get above bottom of my list. even though i see her good points, she still fails to appeal to me beyond the occasional "she looks good in that photo" or "that was kind of funny" lol. Zukki i actually used to like more, but i haven't found her as funny lately so all that's left is her chaotic aura and lack of facial awareness.. hopefully she gets back to her funnier self.

i've started to like Masaki more. i really don't want to (i don't like the super shy type that literally can't get out words even when everyone's waiting), but her antics are so real that it's hard to not find them endearing. i'll have a hard time deciding between her and Haruna soon, i think.

speaking of Haruna, i like her maturity level, i can see how entering at this age has given her a unique perspective (in her humor and in statements and such). but in photos and performances she doesn't convince me much yet, so it's put her below the other members that i like.

Mizuki, oh Mizuki. i want to like you so much more!!! but outside of your H!P fangirling, i have no idea who you are. :< you're only 15 though and you were really sheltered growing up, so i hope soon we will see you break out of your shell more, even if little by little.

i knew Ayumi was a gem in the auditions, and i see it more and more. i'm pretty sure she's going to be passing Eripon as i get to see her more! and Eripon had a bit of a drop since my last rankings. :< last time she was on par with Riho, but since then i haven't seen the same cool side that i originally liked from her. her KY character is fun, but without the cool to balance it out it's not as interesting. i wonder if OhaStar has made her this way? having to do that genki chara everyday, maybe it becomes habit..

Haruka. i still need to see more of her for her to remain a fixture of my top 5, but i have yet to find a reason not to like her: personality, my new Mikitty; look, adorable; voice, soothing and unique; dancing, already in the top percentile and she has a lot of time to hone her skills! i really look forward to seeing more from her!

Reina has moved up ever so slightly. i think Suugaku has really helped.. but honestly, i wish i liked her more! yes, i love Riho. but i loved Reina first! there was a time when she could have been first.. what happened? i'll keep looking for things to endear me to her again.

RIHOOOOOO!! i love this girl more and more. and a prime example of someone breaking out of there shell! in the last 6 months, heck the last 3 months, i've seen so much energy out of her that i wonder whether she's robo!Riho's twin-with-opposite-personality sister. Riho was my Sara back for kyuukie auditions (the one i wanted most), and has already surpassed my expectations. it still pains me to think of a Momusu without Sayu, Risa or Reina, but at least i have someone i love this much to keep me as strong into the fandom as ever.

Gaki, oh how i will miss your voice. ;-; she has always been one of my favorites, and it's interesting to see how her tsukkomi chara has gone super-saiyan with KY and the other newbies. just makes me that much more sad to see her go!

i have to say that i haven't been as into Sayu as i have in the past, but that probably just means i need to start reading her blog again. she hasn't been on TV as much either, but whenever she is i see she's the same as always so i must just not be looking hard enough. in any case, her unreal amount of cuteness and beauty in her photos have long since cemented her on the top of my list, and i love watching her perform.

I am now going to sit here and explain my reasoning, since everyone else is

Haruna is at the top because she instantly grabbed me during the auditions. There was something about her smiling through her tears and just not giving up that made me really endear to her. During the final dance she was the most improved and her voice wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Her character is goofy (Which I enjoy IMMENSELY) and funny, but still cute and sweet. She's one of the few who can pull off being a total ham in front of the camera and being a sweet, princess-like person at the same time. What really put her above everyone else though, is her determination. During her very first intro at Ai Believe, she had already downloaded all the singles, she was already learning them before they even told her too. During one song she put her hand up and pointed to the sky with the rest of her sempai's even though she had not been taught that move. She was motivated and took initiative. I love that. In everyone's blog they say she's working hard to catch up because she's so behind. Haruna is a fighter, in her actions and her personality. THAT'S what I want to see. She has the hunger, and I LOVE IT.

Ayumi is a close second, Ayumi is a star. I really wanted Ayumi to be my favorite, actually, but I couldn't stop watching Haruna so now she's second

Sayumi, who has always been under Reina and Aika AND usually at the bottom of my list, now sits near the middle. At first I was uncomfortable with this, as she had been my least favorite for SO LONG (Since Rika graduated) but I do find Dark Sayu endearing and funny. I'm glad she doesn't just do the "Ichiban Kawaii!" thing anymore, which annoyed me, and expanded her personality to include being awesome

My like for Aika has dropped a lot since Lin and Jun left. 8th gen was my favorite gen so I think I saw her through rose colored glasses... I really miss snarky, jealous Aika and can't really jive with this overly mature Aika. I know she's always been somewhat motherly, but it's getting kind of ridiculous, now. Like... she's only a year and a few months older than Haruna, but her aura screams that she's 40 and it kind of bothers me. When Haruna came in, I was hoping her and Aika would become friends, now I'm hoping Haruna shows her she doesn't have to act like an old maid.

Let's see. My Momusu ranking hasn't been very stable lately.

Haruna will have a difficult time climbing in my ranking, there's just nothing I like about her. I don't hate her or anything, but she does nothing for me and reminds me of a Mexican actress Ayumi is not very far, but I like her looks more and I'm just shallow like that. Also she seems to be a good dancer, which also helps. Risa, it's sad how you never managed to grow on me. She's a hard working and reliable girl, it's just that I'm not a big fan of looking at her or listening to her voice.

Erina, it's a weird case. I don't like her a lot by herself, but I think she definitely belongs in the group and I love seeing 9th gen together. She was great in their performance and I'm sure she'll grow on me with time. She's already not that far from Aika, who also hasn't been able to go back to her "top tier" position in my ranking since probably Kanashimi Twilight.

Masaki was supposed to be one of my favorites, but for now she'll have to do something to beat Reina. I don't know what happened with Reina, she was almost at the top of my ranking because I really enjoy her singing, but the truth is I'm not a huge fan of her personality. Riho is great and she'll keep growing on me, it's good because she'll be the main Momusu girl at some point. Kanon is really cute and hilarious, I'm just waiting for her to improve her singing. Haruka was one of my favorite eggs, so she gets an automatic pass to top tier. I love her voice and she has plenty of egg training, hope to see more of her. Mizuki is one of the most beautiful girls in H!P, and has a very calm and friendly personality which I like a lot. She's also a huge Momoko fan And finally, Sayu is by far the girl I like the most in Morning Musume. She's never boring, and even with her weak singing I really like seeing her perform, she needs to be leader now.
