Thats like saying S/mileage deserve Budokan for having to wear the Mystery Night outfits :?:

I'm going to add on to what esm said:
We all say that Berryz never get attention and they get shitty promo, but the minute they actually get good promotion, it's a problem. Like what the hell? Make up your minds, people!

And yes, in case you haven't figured out: Being active for 10 years is actually a big deal. These girls work almost every day in their livess: get scolded, have concert tours that go on for months (although Berryz's are usually short.), have TV promotions, have live events, have to go through controversy between fans, holding practices for singles and vocal lessons, and be able to jungle school all at the same time. But yeah, that's not alot and that kind of hardwork isn't attention worthy, right?

Just like how Sayumi went through alot in her years of Morning Musume., Berryz Koubou did, too. And they deserve this stuff, believe it or not. A majority of you guys act like the only idols that are worthy of attention are the ones who reach #1 and sell good.

But no; How do you think the other idol groups who sell lower and aren't all that popular feel? Oh yeah, they're just like "It's whatever, maybe next time.", to something they put their effort and their time into.

In my honest opinion; Every idol group deserves great promotion. Even the ones who sell lower than 20k, even the ones who are still indie groups. Because ALL of them put their tears, hardwork and determination into what they do.

I think we have our wires crossed here somewhere...

Of course it all makes sense if you think of it as a fan, they've worked so hard and finally getting the spotlight and push they deserved, right?
Unfortunately the promotion us fans think a group deserved doesn't always align with how much the management would actually want to invest in it. See : Platinum Era
What me and some others are wondering about is what makes the management think it's worth investing a lot more than they used to on Berryz now. The public perception and overall popularity among hasn't changed much... that much at least you can agree to right?

So what's different this time? That's all we're wondering...
Does the management now suddenly have access to a huge stash of funds and connection to promote every group heavily? Or is there something obvious that we're missing that the makes the management think this is all worth it for some reason? (not saying it isn't...but the managements track record on promotion hardly makes you think that they're that open-handed)

But it seems like the management wants to do more with Berryz this time. I mean, yeah, the Platinum Era was literally one of the best eras ever, it was a fun and emotional era. With all the personality and talent in that era, it could've been better. And the highest they hit in that era was 70k, which was pretty darn good! But H!P as a whole wasn't doing god at that time (Well, with the exception of Berryz in 2009-2010, since they got some of their highest sales in that time.).

Ever since the end of 2012, H!P has been getting better though. So random promotion is going to come at us, even to groups like Berryz and S/mileage who don't really have alot of achievements, but we should accept it because it shows that management is trying to make up for those years when H!P was selling low and not getting alot of good media promotion and stuff.

Oh don't worry, as I've said before I don't resent them for any of this. I think we all are happy for them

But wondering aloud and opening discussions is kinda what we do here, so don't take it too personally ^^

There's different kinds of promotion though. Getting a big poster up in Shibuya is one thing that, most likely, is settled very easily with money.

Getting invited to MUSIC FAIR involves producers, directors, viewing numbers and most importantly a TV Network. Why does Fuji TV want them on their (pretty high-quality) show? Because....... of what exactly? If it was variety even Momochi would make sense, not much but a little. But a music show? Not much. Cute are known for their skills - that'd make sense. Morning Musume speaks for itself. Juice is getting pimped as the newcomer BUT SO DAMN SKILLED group, that makes sense. Berryz Kobo and S/mileage? Doesn't. Nothing has really changed for those groups in terms of image or the public eye --- and yet Berryz Kobo gets invited. Why. It's RANDOM.

And like I said -- if it's all because of their 10th year anniversary? That gotta suck. "Welcome to our show! You're not here for any of your songs or skills really, but hey you've been together for 10 years so that's always something."
Really?

If it's Dentsu working on things and all? Great. Just show results, plz. If Berryz will continue and just be the same this year and the next as it has been the past couple of years it's just wasted money tbqh.

Nah getting invited for being in a group for ten years does not suck at all lmao! Berryz totally deserve this :) highly skilled group with great girls who've been working hard before freaking puberty :) shit if I was in an idol group since I was like around 9 can't even go out with a damn male cousin and than belittle my work as an idol cause a sister group started selling more you better cause of what, promotion? damn well recognize and fix your mistakes and promote me lol! Morning musume will still get invited to big shows, so calm down! So will c-ute and juice=juice Is a young group they got time! There's so reason to ask "why? Them?" Cause honestly none of us work behind the scenes..

And I honestly chuckle a bit when people exaggerate c-utes relevance and skills.

Our girls besides momo are still big unknowns~ Miyabi who? Airi HUH? C-ute...um...ah tsunku produced right...? Berryz...Ah! Momochi?! Haha oh yurishite Nyan! One girl is too tall To Be idol! Haha.

Congrats berryz for your well deserved invitation and I can't wait for other groups to get invited to shows like music station ect. Cause you know what? They deserved it :) while some of us are saying "why" some of the members are up worryiń about idol business and how to better themselves.

You cannot have a rational discussion about this with people with Berryz in their usernames. They are blinded by their own perception.
