Also Eripon liked AKB and S/mileage. So she was a fan of H!P to some degree at least.

Also Haruna was a huge Sayu fan and would follow her blog. I think before she even auditioned she had told her classmates at school that her dream was to join Morning Musume. When I read her blog post where she said this it completely changed my mind about Haruna.

As for the other girls Haruka, Mizuki and Sakura were eggs with Mizuki being a H!P wota. Riho was in the fashionable play which makes her joining morning musume cool since even if she didn't like them before the fashionable she probably grew a lot of respect for them during the play.

Zukki probably had the least connection to MoMusu but I liked her since she is the one girl from the 9th gen audition who had no background in dance or singing. So even though Zukki didn't know morning musume I don't think she auditioned in order to use morning musume as a stepping stone to being an idol. I think she just did it because her parents told her about it and she thought "why not?"

Reina probably would have passed 5th gen auditions if she had been the right age tbh, as Tsunku liked her back then already.

If Reina made 5th gen - who do you think she'd have replaced? Surely not Ai or Mako they were the aces. Risa maybe? Since Konno was the wild card he wanted.

No idea, maybe we would have seen a 5 member generation. Maybe Reina "the yankee" would have been the wildcard instead of Konno. Who knows.

Passing the first round of the auditions isn't difficult as it's just sending in a picture of yourself and information. But after that you get called to whatever place and to actually meet some people to sing? Or something, I think singing comes first. And being bad one year and not passing, doesn't mean you can't improve for a year (or however long it takes) until the next audition and then pass it then. Determination is what you need the most, I guess. If you don't pass, then either you give up or you try again. Unless you're too old lol.

First round: Mail in application.

Second round: Regional call-back.

Third round: National call-back in Tokyo.

Fourth round: Training camp.

It was different before; they used to have regional cattle calls, where you could hand in your application rather than mail it in. But they haven't done that since Koharu's audition in 2005, I think.

Didn't Masaki and Kanon's Parents TELL them to audition ?

I read somewhere that it was Masaki's dad who entered her in the 10th gen audition, so I assumed it was her dad who was the bigger fan between her parents.

I don't think they auditioned because they loved H!P. But by now I'm pretty sure all of them do.

I like how Sengoku says it, Hello!Project is the realm of gods So yes they all want to be part of it.

I think there's only 2 girls who seem like they don't really wanna be there: Reina and Zukki.
Reina's fed up and wants to try something else so that's ok. Zukki seems bored and uninterested since a while ago, but somehow, I see her smiling and laughing more than a few months back, so I think she's gonna be alright. I hope she's getting over whatever was troubling her, and be ready for 12th gen.
