If we're going to continue this particular line of discussion, then we should be careful to distinguish between actual wota and casual fans.

Yes and UFA need to realise this that if they really put their heart into promoting MM and focusing the people they want to notice our girls they will get there investment back! Promoting in Shibuya was so smart because while AKB focus on Akihabra and their hardcore fans MM see that they need to make MM a group that little girls aspire to be a part of. We can have appeal to both the wota's and the Gal's!

I'm just so happy that the sales for one two three. This week has been amazing~

I'm extremely happy with the sales but not only that but the efforts the girls are putting into this single. Everyone is putting in 100% and finally MM feels like a connected group again! This generation also feels very fresh and the music feels new and makes people really want to get to know them. I was bumping this song in my room last week and my roommates were curious and wanted to know who these girls were. I've played MM before around my friends and they didn't really seem to care but this song really got my friends wanting to know more. Actually even for me 1 2 3 rekindled my love for MM and got me interested in 9th and 10th gen. I really hope MM comes out with more fresh feeling music but also hope they continue meeting with their fans and becoming idols you can meet regularly.

It was the same with me! My thirteen year old brother hates Jpop but when he heard The Matenrou Show he liked it and asked me what the members names were.

I am wondering if there needs to be asterisks besides many of sales numbers for MM singles? They would mark the beginning of the time when Oricon would not count singles sold at handshake events and end when Tower Records started selling singles at the handshake events so the sales would count with Oricon.

Total sales so far: 94,847.

HOLY SHIT THEY'RE GOING TO BREAK 100K YOU GUYS HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS IS A THING THAT IS HAPPENING.

So after only five days it has the best first week since "Shabondama" (July 2003) and the best total sales since "Ai Araba IT'S ALL RIGHT" (January 2004). And there are still two days to go in the first week.

Despite all of this, it's still probably only going to be #3 for the week. Such is the luck of the draw. Damn you, Yamapi and Korean dude I don't know!
