The first episode begins the narrator talking about life. Then the song "Morning Coffee" plays as they show the guesthouse called "Sun Plaza Asanuma." They camera goes around the guesthouse with all kinds of Hello Pro goods displayed.
Mariko (played by Kikuchi Momoko), a mom who is an avid fan of Hello! Pro, is drinking her MM 20th anniversary mug with morning coffee and blasting her "Morning Coffee" CD so loudly, that it is irritates her daughter Misaki (Ohara Yuno). Misaki tells her it's too loud, and it will bother their only one guest staying there. Mariko says it is the best alarm clock. Misaki complains to her. The guest runs downstairs to tell them they are ones being loud. Mariko and Misaki both start arguing in front of her. Azumi is fed up and dashes out the door. Mariko and Misaki fall in despair as they lose their guest.
The intro begins and OCHA NORMA's opening theme "Koi no Crouching Start" plays. All the characters and celebrity guest actors are introduced in the intro with close-ups of their smiles. Kikuchi Momoko and Ohara Yuno are cutely dancing to the choreography of the song.
The guest Muraki Azumi (Actress Ohno Ito) is looking at the ratings of the guesthouse. Her mother calls and is worried she isn't working on her manga. Azumi just wanted a change of scenery, instead of her room at home, so she can concentrate on getting her manga serialized. The mother says she is there for advice. She hangs up on her mother.
She is a manga artist struggling, and the editor says her latest manga manuscript doesn't impress him. A new star manga artist appears and he starts naming her accomplishments in front of her.
Azumi comes back to the guesthouse and Misaki apologizes for her and her mother's rude disturbance. Misaki offers a service dinner menu to make the guesthouse better. Misaki is proud of her work. But Azumi expresses her frustration. She lectures Misaki and tells her to act her age more, that life is tough. Misaki runs off and makes curry.
In her guestroom, Azumi sits at her desk, looking at her work, eating the curry that Misaki made. She said it was tasty. The editor calls her and asks her if she can submit a work now because something came up with another artst and they need to find a replacement in the issue. The editor tells her to call him as soon she is done. Azumi is pumped and gets to work on her manga pages. Then suddenly she hears loud music again downstairs, "Again?" she says. She runs down and see Mariko blasting the song "Naichau Kamo" (the song that mentions the name "MARIKO" heheh). Mariko didn't know she was back and apologizes. Azumi begs her to turn it off, because she has a deadline and needs to concentrate. She says this is her big chance and once in a lifetime oppurtinity. Mariko doesn't listen and tells her to listen to just one more song, because it will help you find that mysterious "door" open. She plays the instrumental version of "Mikan" and feels pumped. After it played, Azumi runs up stairs. Misaki tells her mother, "I told you so, you keep doing this to the guests." Mariko says "as long as you stay in this house, this is the special service I give them"

Azumi manages to finishes making her pages by morning. She tries to call the editor, but he isn't picking up. She gets a taxi to the publishing company "Tokage Books" (lizard books) and catches her editor with another artist's manga manuscript on his desk. She asks him why he has that. He tells her the other artist submitted their work faster than her. She can't believe he made her rush her work for nothing and chose someone else without telling her. The editor tries to cover for himself. He tells her that is the reality of this job. What a damn jerk.
Azumi wanders around in disbelief, until late at night. She looks at her mother texts. She looks in the distance and finds the mysterious Mayonaka Door out of nowhere and it has a name on it "HELLO!". She remembers Mariko talking about the door. Azumi opens and walks through the door and a bright light flashes.
She opens her eyes and ends up in the Hello! Project concert dressing room. She finds an alternate reality version of Mariko. This Mariko calls up members of Morning Musume. '22 (Fukumura, Oda, Haga, Yokoyama, Morito, Okamura). Azumi doesn't know who they are. Mariko tells they are her friends. They each have a line of encouragement to say to her, and tell her to hurry up and come along with them on stage. That opening standby music plays. They open another door. The stage is actually her room at home, where she usually works on her manga. These 6 Morning Musume. '22 members start dancing and singing their version of "Mikan" (while holding microphones) in her small room. Then they start making a mess of her room, rip out the curtains and throw stuff. Azumi tells her to stop it. The members tells her, that Manga is her passion and she shouldn't stop. But Morito drops a momento box and she finds a framed drawing she made when she was younger. Then a flashback of little Azumi is shown. It's a drawing of how it inspired her to start manga in the first place. Her mother loved it and even framed it.
Then the scene changes to a rooftop, where these Morning Musume. '22 members continue singing "Mikan" as their cheer song in front of the two. Azumi is moved to tears. This version of Mariko says the words "THIS IS THE HELLO!" (the door) to her.
Then at the end Azumi leaves the guesthouse happy and thanks Mariko and Misaki (wearing a HELLO! sweater), as the ending theme of Morning Musume. '22's version of I WISH is played. Azumi is going to work at her own pace. The sweater was Mariko's favorite and she gave to her Azumi.
Azumi is back home working on a new manga. It shows a storyboard of the "Mayonaka Door" she saw, and it is led by Fukumura Mizuki. She tells her mother not to bother her while she works. She has her own copy of Morning Musume's Mikan CD.
Misaki is trying to perfect her curry, and Mariko brings out her "Morning Curry" concert DVD.
End.
Next week, the next guest (Actress Okamoto Rei) plays Mitamura Yuha , a mid-career employee who doesn't fit in at work :
