Welcome to the (pre-damaged, pre-certified dysfunctional, pre-infected, and pre-disowned) year 2022!
Every year, I look for an appropriate version of In the Year 2525 for the new year. It's a near-impossible task, since the actual year generally turns out to be somewhere between the
Futurama parody, and the
Laibach nightmare version, but for now, I'll go with the pop art psychedelic, neo-Inca, Galactus-as-God Jack Kirby version:

Happy New Year!
We lost Betty White just to end 2021 with an exclamation point.
It was pretty foggy here last night so going home was interesting.
I hope everyone will be able to accomplish what they want in this new year and whatever happens in h!p this year isn’t too saddening because I’m expecting some big movement just because it’s been too stable in Morning and I’m not ready for such things to happen.

From last August…

....................................... which brand of pot pie?
Zingerman's, a local gourmet deli. Great handmade pies, but they're sold only in January and February of each year, so I have to stock up.
Well, it's that time of the year…

Still looks delicious.

I did manage to stumble across a British themed store in NYC that, along with selling imported goods like Marmite and clotted cream, makes on-premises little chicken pies, scones, and such.

If anyone likes pot pies. This company out of Cape Cod makes really good ones. I love their Shepherds (even if it’s a cottage) pie. It’s the only one I’ve ever seen with an actual crust on the bottom.

I didn’t do anything for NYE. Kinda needed time to catch up on tv and such anyway. Well, I also ended up with several migraines for like 4 days.
Charleston and Savannah were amazing. Savannah has to be one of the coolest cities I’ve ever been to. Already thinking about where to travel to for my week-long break next month. I love how much I’m close to here on the East Coast.
