Have a good trip!
Eventually, I'd like to travel - it does seem like such a wonderful thing. For now, though, I feel like I'm pretty much tied down by logistics and responsibilities. But it's good to know that the world is there, and full of so much, and really, in many ways the SGV is a lot like being in a small version of the world-at-large, which isn't so bad.

Croatia is quite a trip. I take it you have some kind of tie there? Be careful though!! Travelling internationally is still a bit scary these days. I still hope to get back to Japan sometime next year...

I’m vaccinated and the number of cases is pretty low there, so I’d say it’s safe. Vaccination rate isn’t super high but much better than in Asia.

From what I've read, even if you get enough Covid to test positive after you've been vaccintated, you won't have any symptoms, and apparently, you won't have enough of the virus itself to spread it to anyone. If that's true, it removes one of my main concerns (the possibility of spreading it to unvaccinated people), although I'm still pretty much in watch-and-wait mode until I hear something a little more definite.

^To be precise, you're much less likely to develop COVID-19 if vaccinated but if you do get it:

• you're much less likely to develop serious or fatal symptoms
• studies indicate you're less likely to carry a substantial viral load
• for the foregoing reason it is believed you may be less likely to transmit it to others (same link)
