That's why I really appreciate that era. They showed the audience a completely new Morning Musume。 heck a cOmpletly new type of idols in Japan and that's boss of them.
I honestly think Morning Musume。would not have survived until today if the platinum era didn't happen.
I'd have to agree in many ways and i'm not a fan of that era. Imo it was the most boring era of Morning Musume but what it did is steady the boat after the storm. what they lacked in personality they made up for with some good songs and a consistent work ethic. That also describes more or less how i feel about Takahashi that eras leader.
The era before was such a mess and i feel sorry for Yossie because she inherited this big mess of a group which had been rocked by members doing whatever the hell they want and destroying all harmony which all seems to have started when Aibon threw a big spanner in the works (I hear she was the one who wanted to graduate and she took Tsuji with her since she didn;t want to be left behind) and then everyone else just set about doing what the hell they want and people left the group and the rest just seemed to stop caring. And then to boot Tsunku wrote some of his most bland material during this era and Aibon caused even more problems with her daddy issues causing perhaps the most negative publicity on H!P ever.
Wow when i think about it i feel sorry for the ones who had to work through this era.
