Well, it is clear from these 2 PV's that H!P is about to change.
Clearly they will be taking a more... non-black-with-shadows-as-background PV direction for the groups, so it seems.

Also, THE OUTFITS FOR THE POWER MAKE SENSE NOW.
They have the same trippy patterns as the trippy scenes from the PV!

I wasn't sure I would like this song, but the PV made me love it. It's dynamic and fun, and unexpected from °C-ute.

Lol It's Aitte Motto Zanshin all over again. Amazing Kick ass opening and verses and a flat as hell Chorus But not bad at all.




And man, Kanashiki Heaven (Single Version) might turn out to be my favorite MV from them YET !

I love when the PV has multiple dance shots. It really makes a world of a difference. And when they have a shot that isn't just dance and close up.... like a third type of shot makes a difference too. C-ute's PVs have been the best and its really noticeable how much more quality they appear to have as a result.

Well after watching it a few times, it's time to review The Power PV.

First the song, I like how noisy it is but the chorus should've been better. Overall it's an alright song. Good enough to actually listen to. And thank goodness for the autotune with as much as MaiMai sings in this.

As for the girls.

MaiMai visually I do like. Her hair is getting longer and she looks better than she has in a bit. She has some cute moves that she throws down too.

Nakky is really into it being center at first, all smiles. Otherwise nothing special.

Standard fair by Maimi too. I really love her glamor shot. That expression... the one I like to call "the disapproving authority figure" (Mika Nakashima does one too in the Legend PV, back when she was hot) It's like she's looking at you like you're doing something stupid and should know better. It's really great.

Chisato looks really damn good in this. Her hair is like it was in Adam to Eve and that was her best PV. Much props to her.

Airi... man, this needs more of her! And honestly, she seems like she's going through the motions a bit since she isn't getting her usual lines. But even with that said, she's still better than a lot of the H!P. I'd like this better if it had more of her charisma. She's the most important member in H!P to their respective group and this to me showed it.


Speaking of though hot damn I'm ready for Airi and Maimi in KH.

I personally don't like Maimai's voice sometimes. Her voice usually breaks and is often unstable in concert performances, so I can understand why she doesn't get as many lines.

While I agree that Maimai has a more unique tone of voice I don't think she's necessarily worse than either Nakky (who she gets about the same amount of lines as) or Maimi (who gets far more). Nakky gets a little cutesy and, as I've said before, Maimi seems to try too hard. Maimi is obviously outclassed by Chisato and Airi but lately I've been comparing Maimai to Amuro Namie in my mind (and now publicly).

Neither has a naturally pleasing voice but both have an effortlessness to their performances. Maybe it might just be that Maimai also visually reminds me of Amuro but I think that Maimai has the ease of performance down given the 10 years of experience that she has.

And I'm not totally against the use of autotune but when it completely masks even the tone/individual characteristics of a girl's voice, its a turn off.
