It doesn't sound similar... it may to people who don't listen to a lot of electropop, but it's not the same as any of the past singles. The only similarity is what esm said above.
This single has the two things I've been clamoring for since 123 hit - better line distribution and a lower register
(And Haruna having a major solo line
). Since Tsunku is listening to me now (:P) I really hope this song does well ><
I'm gonna give some props to Riho here, though she didn't have as many lines as she usually gets, you can still tell she's the ace by her attitude and confidence. Which is good I think, we don't need her to sing 80% of the song to know she's the ace, she just showed us in this video. Bitch was fabulous.
Also notice how all the girls sound amazing in the lower register. Yeah it's like night and day from Help Me!

The song is pretty awesome! I really like the dance and outfits as well.

?
I was actually about to say that as well. The one it sounds closest to out of all of them is Renai Hunter, but that has more to do with some of the eletronic noises in it rather than the melody.
It has quite a bit of a rock feel to it (especially with the costume and the "air guitaring" in the dance) which is what I was really hoping they would do for Reina's send off.
Everything about this makes me happy, but the two things that make me the happiest is the Ayumi vs Riho and the Line Distribution, not only do a large number of girls have a real solo line as opposed to words), some of the girls who previously had only been grouped in together to do their lines (Zukki, Haruna, Duu and Eri) have some lines in duets, sort of like how Maachan and Mizuki had gotten. I swear I see it at least once with Zukki for sure.
Why is April so far away ):
Musically it sounds closest to Renai Hunter, and I guess it doesn't have too much 123 in it but there is the one choreography move where they circle their hands/arms around their faces, it has the same (really short) line distribution moments in the verses as WTAC, and like WTAC and Help Me! the choreography seems to focus on the formations. And it might be a coincidence but in both Brainstorming and Help Me! Sakura has those epic solo lines.

The dance thing is becoming one of the key points to their new popularity so it makes sense they keep that around. I think Sakura got the "Epic" lines because she was just the best singer for the job, not because they were trying to reference another song.

Watched it once this morning before work.
Not a bad song, plus we know how I feel about pseudo-dub step in my idol music.

The dance definitely seemed on-point, I don't remember any vocals that killed my ears, the girls looked good. On the negative side, i kinda wish they had had a third outfit color, and having only heard the song once i can't even begin to remember how it went. Was there any sort of a catchy chorus?
Overall though I can see them doing well with this.
I can't decide if the ブレスト pun is amazing or terribly low-brow.

No. That didn't work when MM was popular why would it work now
The baseline to this is identical to Naichau Kamo. The more I see this the more NK it is. Which isn't bad - NK is amazing.

Side note - I can't see how any of you are claiming this sounds "so much" like Renai Hunter.... why bc the dubstep beat????? Big woop.

I think that's largely due to the continued trend from the past two singles with the verses consisting of multiple segments that sound random together until you listen to the song maybe 15 times.

Does that mean that the dance will synch up if you played Thriller as the backing track?

Wait now that I'm thinking about it I can't really recall how the verses went too, and I've listened to it over 20times

The instrumental break stays in my head though and the general effect just makes me want to keep listening to it more and more
damn tsunku you troll

Can I say Holy Shit? Why has no one updated the thread title yet?? I had no idea I was missing out on this. Like a mix between NK and WTAC. Sakura's lines when she's at the back are awesome.
