So the song featured in the trailer was "MOON PRIDE" by Momoiro Clover Z. It will be the openning theme song for the anime, as well as the group's next single. Their single, to be released on 7/30 (same as JuuJuu single), will have a cover of "Moon Revenge". The song is composed by Revo, who is the main member of Sound Horizon and Linked Horizon.

The ending theme will be "Gekkou" (月虹) by Momoiro Clover Z. "Gekkou" is written by Kosaka Akiko, who wrote the lyrics for "Tuxedo Mirage", "Moon Revenge" and "La Soldier".

Edit: was corrected. Both songs are by Momoiro Clover Z. XD

Now I definitely think, even more than before, that TOKYO GIRLS' STYLE would have been a better fit if they/Naoko absolutely wanted a pop group to do the theme song. At least it'll be easy enough to ignore/mute after seeing the opening sequence in full once or twice.

Ignoring the OP, I am seriously happy to hear that someone who worked on "La Soldier" will be involved with any part of the music, even if it is just the ending theme. Such a good song.

Finished A Storm of Swords. Jeez, my eyes have been getting blurry after reading so much each day. I'm gonna slow down from this point. In fact, I'm banning myself from Book 4 until I get work done this weekend.

Spoiler: show
I actually liked the scenes of Jaime and Tyrion bonding this season and was a little disappointed they weren't a lot of that in the book, although in the series it's like Jaime is a completely different character, and I don't mean in terms of character development but in his expressions and all. In the first season he was a bad guy; in the fourth season he's a good guy. In the books, he's actually more complex and there's better continuity to his character, and as far as I know from what I've read right now, he's the main character that we know most about, back story and current story combined (plus the fact that he's still alive). There's just a ton that doesn't come out on screen, so this is where I'm glad I finally started reading the books. Theon's chapters were also interesting because in the show you're just supposed to hate him, and while he's clearly a vile character it's more interesting to read about his internal struggles.

Something kind of subtle that I thought was interesting about the books is the limit of knowledge the characters have about what's going on around them. They hear about events going on in other places, but the details are always fuzzy, and there are always different stories according to rumors. Cersei seems more evil than she really is because people tend to blame her for what's really Joffrey's own evil decisions.

By the way, in the latest episode, despite the Boltons being freakishly scary and all I thought that scene of Ramsay and Roose Bolton was actually kind of beautiful. :fear:

Second season is in and I still can't stand the opening sequence of "Orange is the New Black".

Well The first episode was ok i guess.
I like Chapman , but I watch the show for the other inmate characters.
Anyway, it seems like second episode is focused on Taystee ...

^ I'm binge-watching as much of it as I can tonight. My opinions so far (spoilers, etc):
Spoiler: show
Everything outside of Chapman is great, interesting - just like the first season. Piper is as boring as ever when she isn't interacting with someone else, and everything to do with her fiance feels useless. I know a lot of people were mad that Laura Prepon wasn't going to have a huge part in the second season, but I'm thankful for it. She was as boring to me as Piper is.

Edit: I'm not happy that Pornstache is back. Not only is he amazingly annoying, but I have a hard time taking the actor seriously as such a "comedic" douche after watching his episodes of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".

There's no hurry. Book 4 is widely considered to be the worst of the series, because Book 4 and Book 5 take place concurrently (sort of) and Book 4 gets the characters that most readers don't care about.

Spoiler: show

Making him a good guy was kinda sorta brought forward from Book 4. You'll see.

Yes. Unfortunately, that's very hard to do on a television show for a mainstream audience.

esm wrote:Cersei seems more evil than she really is because people tend to blame her for what's really Joffrey's own evil decisions.

Be careful. All of the characters are aged up about three years for the show, so in the books, Joffrey is still very much an adolescent rather than a young man, and Cersei has more direct authority as regent until Tywin arrives. For example, in the books, the order to kill Robert's bastards is Cersei's. Cersei on the show is much more human, by comparison.

Again, you'll see the difference in Book 4.
