...I got the VLC player... but now i can't tell if it's supposed to be higher quality or not... xD
for example, i have the Ee Ka!? dvd with the dance shot but compared to the version on youtube with the subs, it's worse quality... is it supposed to be like that?
I've been attempting to play with the quality settings but no dice.

I started using it because my DVDs weren't working on my region free player anymore. Works fine for me. I might even get an HDMI cable so I can hook my computer up to my TV for an even better experience.

I'm not at home so I can't help with any questions about the player. It might be your video card? I dunno? I'm not super knowledgable about computers.

watched the DVD, it was awesome except for the encore call. The encore call was uncoordinated and awful sounding. they had to cut most of it. Also, I was in the TV version, but they cut me out in the DVD.

^^^ The EE ka PV is up on Youtube at 1080p quality, which means that it's HD. You're only going to get that quality on a BluRay. ^^

^ Because the current Blu-ray standard is 1080p although at higher bit rate, i.e. same resolution but more dynamic (different between black and white) on blu-ray than on youtube.

Cuz half of the room was going "Encoru" and the other half was doing a Sayu call. I was sitting there like "MAKE UP YOUR MINDS"

Yeah, I was pretty embarrassed during the encore. I'm still not sure what we were supposed to call, to be honest.
