omg it's so wonderful! good job moh!

Also as I was going through them searching for the new banner, I just noticed for the first time that in the ANGERME one, Maho is hiding on the side in the "o" of jplop, and it kinda made me sad :c

I made that before she graduated, and I just didn't have the heart to not put her in somewhere. I miss Maho.

Thanks, guys. Y'all are gonna give me a big head. :mikihead: This is really one of my personal favorites, too.

Off to Japan in a few hours! Will only be there for a week but I have quite a few things planned. Hopefully no more typhoons will happen lol...

Sedation dentistry is weird.

The first time for me was in 2011, when I had my wisdom teeth extracted. The top two were crumbling and the bottom two were impacted, so the whole procedure was pretty complicated. And when I was sedated for that, I was completely out and had absolutely no sense of time passing — just off, then on again.

Today was a little different. I had only one tooth extracted (for various reasons that aren't relevant to my main point), followed by a bone graft, and I guess wasn't as heavily sedated because I felt like I was still awake and still had some sense of time passing. I remembered parts of the procedure, enough that it seemed like it was done in only a few minutes, and afterward in the recovery room I grumbled that I shouldn't have spent the extra $300 for sedation (more if you count the travel, which I did for even more reasons that aren't relevant) if the procedure would be done that quickly.

Here's where it gets weird. The procedure actually took a half-hour, and while I had some sense of time passing, it was in fact extremely compressed time. What I remembered was in fact a series of flashes and jump cuts, seamless enough that I never thought I was out even though I actually was out for most of it. A very interesting experience altogether, but if the entire half-hour was anywhere near as rough as what I remembered, then I'm very glad I was sedated for it.

Now, back at home, I'm just trying to avoid getting blood-tinged drool all over my chin and neck while I wait for the numbness to wear off.

But at least I de-stupided myself enough to compose that sentence (however far it may be from actually being good Japanese). XD

I tried the sentence (with a slight variation: 多分私は日本語を話すのが決して上手になることありません。) out in my Japanese group today. There were only a handful of us there, but a Japanese guy laughed and said, "Same with me, only with English!" so I guess it's an OK sentence. XD

Turns out…

Very interesting. Now I'm wondering how significant it is that I remembered as much as I did.
