While I appreciate the effort I really hope they won't be, unless they also upload versions with no subtitles. They're nice to have available, but annoying when you don't want them around or you need a clean video with nothing extra on screen.

They do sell clean versions.

I dunno. I find subs to be distracting. That, and most of the time I can understand the lyrics anyway .

I think what they should do is just have them available as annotations.

They were uploading decent quality versions of the videos with no subtitles just a few weeks ago, I see no problem in hoping they would cotninue to offer them that way. It's not as if I'm asking for special treatment or I'm asking for them to suddenly be in HD, it's something they were constantly doing already.

Not everyone has the funds available to buy every single. I don't download and I try to use the official channels whenever I can, for listening, watching, and sharing to introduce them to other people. I'll still listen with the subtitled video, and watch sometimes, but there are other times when I just want to enjoy with no text running across the screen. I know they aren't obligated to upload them at all one way or another, I just wish they would either use annotations that can be turned off or go back to clean videos.
