This is scary as hell. Nishikawa was trying to convince them to act more like a real band, but Reina was like "NO! I still doesn't want to quit being idol. I want LovendoR to be an idol band." Look at Marin's, Marina's and Nee-san's faces ... oh god ...

I have to agree with Nishikawa-san in this case. I am sure all four of them are passionate, but they still don't think and act like a band. Reina doesn't know what to do. She still think and act like an idol, i.e. don't think, just do what you are told to do. The other members probably have their opinions on how they want the band to be, but they feel inexperience, so they left the decision making to their leader and the company and don't speak their opinions. Thus, we have a combination of the leader that can't lead, the member that can't push, and a company that have not manage artists for many many years ...

I really want LoVendoR to be a band that live, and for that they need to have identity and involve themselves more into the band. Might be a too far to reach dream.

I downloaded the thing and just finished the whole appearance. There was a lot more do it than just her saying she likes being idol-like. If Reina wants to keep doing that, she should. Adds personality to the band if there's one idol-y girl anyway.

Pretty much through most of the things they talked about, he asked why they're doing the kind of music they are and such and it came down to Reina saying that they did because they're told to. Nishikawa then kept pushing about doing their own thing and that she should stand up and say what she wants to do and not -- to which Reina replied that she has done it that way before (been stubborn) and gotten into trouble so she doesn't anymore. Despite that he kept pushing her that she should, and so she asked him to come with her to go and talk to the "higher ups" at the company.
-- I wonder if she was scolded after this?

Marin and Yuki totally wanna do other music than what they're doing now. That much got obvious and Nishikawa kept pushing that for them too. He also suggested several things they could do to make the band better (applying for a bass and drummer being one of them) and even said that Up Front aren't really good with "this kind of thing" after all so they have no idea of what to do with bands.

I wonder if maybe Marina was the only one not getting yelled at after this. Yuki and Marin probably got a scolding as they didn't deny that Nishikawa was right when he assumed these things. Reina probably said a bit too much of how little they have to say about things and Nishikawa might have been asked to stay out of their business. OR he was offered to maybe do something for them. Reina asked at the end that he should produce them and while he said he would have no idea of what to do as he never has before, maybe Up Front could accept that they're clueless, give the girls more freedom and maybe look for help elsewhere --- Nishikawa Takanori would be great.


Very interesting to watch, though. Felt strangely dangerous too as they talked of so many detailed and "bad" things and such but maybe it's a good thing. Maybe having a rock artist comment on how poorly the band is managed could make them get off their lazy ass and be productive and smart for once.

I think that H!P/UFA should thank Nishikawa for saying a lot of things that needed to be said -- and that they should listen to him and bring him onboard for advice, and very possibly for production as well.
If UFA listens, this could be one of the best things that has happened to Lovendor.

The fact that they haven't gotten a proper original release out yet is worrisome.

Should have just done a v-u-den style idol group for Reina post graduation if she really wants to keep the idol image and stay a singer. That or going solo.
Because i don't think anyone pictured Reina to ever stick to the typical fanclub event/stageplay post-graduation scenario most H!P idols transition to

I just want them to release something though: with a proper music video, promotion, etc.

They can't stay a cover band forever, I doubt that's what Reina's bandmates had in mind when they got on board.
