Eligibility: Women living in Japan who are in 4th grade of elementary school to 2nd year of high school as of June 2023.
Applicants must not be affiliated with or under contract to an entertainment production company or other performing arts organization.

Was this in previous audition announcements? There's an item on the audition page telling potential applicants to beware of scammers who would prey on them by telling them that if they pay money, they'll become an artist. This seems to have been happening a lot which is why the company is telling them to be cautious and that payments will not make them win the audition.

They lowered the age because they are clearly fishing for kenshuusei again. I hope they find some. They desperately need more trainees once the new group debuts.

I think I remember it being mentioned somewhere on the site for a few of the last auditions I was able to make threads for, but I could be mistaken.

Definitely looking forward to the new batch of Kenshuusei and the off the street girl(s) that will inevitably end up joining the new group next year.

It's confirmed. They are using this new audition to look for new Kenshuusei as well. They posted an update saying that they are closing the old Kenshuusei audition site. Recruitment on the old site stopped 3 years ago.

The third (Performance and Interview judging) will take longer like before, as they have to travel to Tokyo now for an in person screening.

They could potential get this done really soon, like December or January, if they really want Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit to be solidified by next year to debut. They definitely found some more gems in their sights.
