Sayuri's song "Hana no Tou" (Tower of Flower) from the 2022 anime Lycoris Recoil was so good. RIP Sayuri. :(

Chanmina's audition project for her new girls group "No No Girls" starts airing on October 2nd on Nihon TV with episode 0, then episode 1 goes on youtube on October 4th @ 8pm on producer BGSM youtube channel. Strangely, thats when Produce 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS started airing last year.

Episode #1 Teaser Trailer

They posted voices of the girls in Chanmina's audition behind silhouettes

This girl sounds like rapper Takabatake Momoka from Produce 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, a finalist. The silhouette matches her current hairstyle.

She was MOMONA's teammate in AWAKE and Sozouijou

the other girls, possibly more from Produce 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS

There was an Episode 0 (A Pre-show special on Nihon TV) of Chanmina's girl group audition "No No Girls", which introduced Chanmina and SKY-HI, and play some clips of the audition candidates making the top 30, which included three former Produce 101 Japan The Girls Trainees Takabatake Momoka, Nakano Cocona, and Furuhashi Sayaka.

Takabatake Momoka and Nakano Cocona were both teammates with MOMONA. They all met Chanmina last year for rapper advice.

I saw them at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on Wednesday. It's a small club (capacity 250), but that just made it easier to get a spot in the front row. Tickets were just under $20 including fees, but I spent about five times that at the merch table. I got a 7" vinyl single autographed by the band, and my friends and I got a photo taken with them. Oh yeah, they put on a fantastic show, as always!

Coming up on Thursday, October 10th, at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco: Yano Akiko, the Kate Bush of Japan! I never imagined that I'd get an opportunity to see her live, and since she's 69 years old, another chance is unlikely.

Sunsat - Dive

I ended up having to sell my Atarashii Gakko! ticket due to some unforeseen expenses. Oh, well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have a ticket for Inhaler I need to sell too, but for some reason, I can never sell tickets for anything at The Tabernacle.

So if you don't know, I LOVE the music from the K-on anime. And I was looking for something newer in the same fashion and that's how I fell down the BanG Dream! rabbit hole and while most of the stuff is pretty generic idol band stuff, I REALLY fell in love with Raise A Suilen. They don't seem to be pretty active now, but what they released, I really like.

On Apple Music Bushiroad has their name hyperlinked and it takes you to a new section where they have collected all of their artists and you can see who has released lately. It's pretty neat actually. Because I found all sorts of music. And, that's how I discovered Raise A Suilen. I also released while Bushiroad owns Love Live, they don't have control of the music.

Revue Starlight is good too, it reminds me a lot of Sakura Wars with the whole theater vibe. But the music is very hit or miss for me.

I hope someone tech savy joins Up-Front once they decide it's time to actually promote themselves to the digital market outside of M-Line because this would be such a great way to keep track of all the UP-Front artists.

Lila by Pastel Sky

This is a male Filipino band from Dagupan, but the music and overall vibe of the video is giving Japanese city pop aesthetic.
