It was the best song (to me) out of the few I listened to when I was looking at indonesian girl groups. (Which initially came from finding out that the indo girl group that.. covered? copied? Berryz "Rival" had a music video to go with it. I looked at their more recent stuff too, and it kind of exploded into all these new videos and groups to look at.)

It seemed like there were a lot of groups/videos I didn't manage to get to though.

Ah if you're looking for strictly girls-only groups (ala idols) I think you're going to be disappointed. They're not exactly high on originality unfortunately, most are just taking advantage of booms like k-pop/jpop idol girl groups.

There are some good bands with female vocalists/members though... I think. Again, I don't exactly keep up with most of them... I've never even heard of any Indonesian girl group copying/covering BK's Rival before today
Actually kinda glad that I didn't in that case at least.

Now this is the biggest crap I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty.
Everything about the song is chaotic, they tried to mix so many styles at once that feels disjointed every other second, the dubstep is way out of place, and to top it all, their singing sounds awful.

I don't know, a few that I had the chance to look at seemed kind of okay (sometimes). Even the one that copied Berryz has one song that's kind of cute, and isn't a copy. And there seemed to be one girl group that was connected to a boy group in a way that tied in their songs and videos? Something like that. If I get the chance I might go back to those channels and hunt through some of the groups I didn't get to see yesterday. (I am surprised at how many of them seem to have braces or something though. Not a thing you see a lot of in music videos, which I think is a bit unfortunate since they can be pretty cute on some people. Thumbs up for random braces!)

As for the Berryz thing. It was Super Girlies, and they call their version.. "Malu Malu Mau"? (Alot of their songs seem to follow a three-word repeating naming pattern. "Hip Hip Hura", "Aw Aw Aw", etc.) My very limited understanding is that it wasn't marketed as being a cover so it was either assumed the company was trying to be a sneakysneak thief, or the people marketing them just made some choices that backfired on them.
