Actually, someone please posts some videos and convince me there are other decent idol girl groups out there. I haven't been paying much attention.

Not to add to the H!P snobbery, but in my opinion, H!P is still the most dedicated, wholesome, and performance-oriented idol company out there. If you only have the mental bandwidth to follow one company, then H!P should be that one.

Yeah, in my mind H!P is the best. After at least three years of barely paying any attention to anything else in J-Pop, I'm still keeping up with H!P and genuinely enjoy the music.

I might as well spend the time watching concerts I haven't seen and whatnot.

H!P is just unrivaled. Tsunku truly makes it feel like H!P is just not there for the money, whether that is true or not. H!P feels inspired and unique, the girls are way more interesting, the music is unbeatable. Again fanboying CrobatZ, I feel they're the only idol group that compares, but I reckon the main reason they're not very popular around here is because they're more of a crazy group than cool/mature or even cute. And that the only decent vocalist in the group is Momoka

My paranoia is telling me management didn't want to let them wear mini skirts because wearing mini skirts is S/mileage's gag. But Im probably overthinking it and management were just lazy to make actually good costumes this time.
