Spanish in this thread. This is the only song I've ever listened to that could make me a bit watery-eyed. Combination of sad lyrics and it being released near to the decease of a close relative. And I'm not even a believer of such scenario, but it's still tear jerking.

beautiful song. i've heard of this group before, but i'm too deep into Jpop to pay attention to anything else for more than 3 minutes.

to clarify, it's similar to the way you might say "my darling"/"my dearest"/"my sweetheart"/etc only in Spanish they use different terms, one of which translates literally to what Rm88 said.

^ It seems a clever choice of words in that "vida mía" is normally a figurative expression, but here she is calling her daughter(?) "my life" literally, as if, I will go on living through you and your memories of me.

La Oreja de Van Gogh is very well known and respected group in Spanish speaking countries, they're legendary.


Sadly, top latin music as of late is reggaeton, which honestly, just sucks balls. It resorts to a catchy beat, but overly repetitive, generic music (within its style), all their songs sound about the same. Image is everything, with sex being the biggest selling-factor...

Oh that just reminds me of current Japan... (and to be fair, I guess it's the same all over the world)
